  11. his wall reminds me of my floor idea for one place , about a 12 foot section , i realized the subfloor is 3/4 there and the flooring layer was 3/4" sometimes they have the flat 1/4" masonite which helps flatten bumps between boards BTW, anyway the best is to get 12 foot 2x 8s ground contact treated and make it solid layer there , screwed to each joist too that way , the gaps will open and I'll fill them with glue and finish the wood, clear epoxy it but one 2x layer is more solid imo for there ..i got the idea when the 3/4 and 1/4 matches true 1" or 5/4th deck boards a little tiny bit less in cost...

  13. ..that was one of my daydream fast business with worth ideas , just daydream but imagine you'd have the spread like that or on a river with nonstop currents or a windy place all the time , you'd use some steam input and natural to get the electric free , with the tractor trailer Tesla EV, going you'd fuel it and pay the driver i imagine , so you'd borrow on what's rolling and buy more , you'd fast have a fleet going if you could fuel them for only cost of labor and repairs on the equipment but it'd go over millions worth as soon ...fast imo.. mathematically type stuff , hiring babysitters scheme is fast to hypothetically mathmatically though (non option just math...

  15. you can mill cedar and hardwood like oak trees if you have a mill but the problem is to keep getting more lumber probably the traoilered mill is best so it's not as much scrap junk weight to haul from new spots to get wood is what a buddy advized me on it , i want one for a cedar tree , i might make a dome roof for a shed from it's brasnches soon , BTW, i got the amount , lengths and connections needed off domearama page , cool....

  21. i figure one unmodified alternator can put out about 130 amp +/- at 14.4 V ...so it's about a one trolling motor for a boat power maybe, one house space heater ...next it takes about 4 HP drain from the motor to the alternator , i think a steam jet could spin the pulley , modified with steam fins or such ...steam has lifting capability to a flywheel and a bushing effect on the friction too for turbine use , i'd like to have maybe four alternators friction driven off a big flywheel spun by steam to recharge the batteries, power a boat and charge other forms of "battery" energy storage ...maybe a four alternator generator mentioned on steam could charge the ev overnight is my thought besides long range boating is my main study interest due to side topics also

  22. urgh popping in and out , vid rolling multiple times...they sell a lot of items ebay these days i got a stock truck rim shipped for $80 , junkyard same but requires removal driving, day trip....anyway they sell rebuilt in japan "jdm " brand motors , thing is i love our older hondas geometry and handling not about looks ...anyway now transmission included from $1500 , ranging price shipped and all on pallet though gauranteed equivelent of like 30k miles rebuild supposedly (?) ...i watched vids on here looked like a PITA all the wires and hoses go as it rolls into spot i wish i could cut the front clip and make a cart to just roll the old motor/trans out , roll the new one in but it's different , MAYBE though i saw a vid with moster motor they did that seemed easier with a shed

  29. ..the bummer about an amphibious car IMO is that the efficiency would be worse on the water so maybe you'd have rpm as if going near 100 just to go 30 or so , the EV simplifies exhaust and volatile gas fume issues ...my boat has a v8 type car motor but sometimes they have 2 and stuff , water for commuting would be cool if i had a poor mans big output motor the advantage is less limitations with boat design imo...

  36. the most most soul vehicle for me is the Harley Davidson , 1388 cc or whatever normal evo (iirc) with Vance and Hines straight Long-shots and when it idles you can twist the throttle cable FORWARD a tiny bit like negative throttle and it goes a heart -beat changing like thump-thumpa thump -thump thump ...thump ....thunmp thump thump .....bad*ss idle ever ....EDIT: it does it with BASS so if you're standing next to it the windows of stuff nearby is hit with bass , lol EDIT2: to clarify standing next to it , at idle it's like alive like a steel horse , even riding it sometimes

  44. ..i sold my Harley a while back and thought "i'd never get one as nice" (other owner put tons of chrome just for chrome , stainless...) ...there's a few as nice now, same type deals , it's been a while ...I got a cheap (in price) 4 cylinder big bike i like maybe as much or more than riding the Harley , about the same because i like 4 cylinder control of motor braking etc. the power band ....mines like a drag bike when it runs and it feels like 90 mph is cruising speed so i worry and want to get another cruiser ....

  49. i have a fuel injected Ford and it's bad enough maybe 15 mpg or so ....my neighbor was selling his slightly older same engine , gas was over $4/gallon , i overheard , he was telling them it had half tank gas so make sure and fuel up before they got home to (nearby like an hour) he said it got about 8mpg ...so anyway they paid him like $5000 and mines better so i just like wt....(edit: it;s the carburated one , gets about like a school bus sounded like...darn i have to go diesel on antiques or the fast motor one ...
