Ukraine had an election but the elected was not pro-EU currency with it's 16 trillion debt , so they had a coup , and two regions seceded because they democratically elected the coup'd leader , they asked Russia for protection and were attacked as civilians , denied talks and Ukraine could not join NATO with an active conflict , Russia had to invade to prevent escalation on those regions and themselves through NATO membership ....
