  1. i just got nine years alcohol free, can't relive the past , someone who quits usually doesn't regret it because it caused them to grow spiritually or find God, and because they are the only one with first hand experience to help another ...i can't say, the body is a machine i don't know why i took the easy fake route and now things are so steady and easier , i got a good family now though and when i'm alone it's just me and God , good enough....i can't say about the good times , i've been through all sorts drama and dealt better alcohol free , would have probably missed entire chunks of real life , that alcohol is a stimulant at first but it's a sedative and a depressant , some claim they were numb but mostly drunks have deep crazy stupid related feelings and don't even have a true concept of their own condition , i am glad to hear the sober trend , either way at a certain point if we make it that long we just can't relive the past the same way /lol

  2. ...i can't do the non alcohol , grape juice is close enough but it's funny because it's sweet still....i quit nine years but still if i smell booze i call whatever drink i exhale , turn and usually leave , i cleaned up a busted beer pack i dropped stocking shelves at one job and it smelled terrible , it takes making it through each day sober and pray a thanks for keeping me safe and keep me safe tomorrow , and it keeps getting better but when one has to quit it's progressive chronic and sooner or later fatal so the daily improvements and the realization of zero free time for booze each day hits , there's no option for the quitter because they quit....ranting take care the sober thing is cool for me i'd order milk or coffeee /lol
