to brace the polymer lower to the upper better I've always imagined a oatey type "split ring hanger" about $2 at bigbox hardware store [edit: around the buffer tube] , and then bolt it to a picatinny or 20mm type rail and then use a rail clamp to clamp the new rail section on the buffer tube "split ring hanger" mount to the rail on the upper reciever where the m16 handle carrier nobody uses is , the scope railed, flat top receiver clamped to the buffer tube by adding a rail and rail connector point , to sturdy the fact the buffer tube screws into plastic ring is all ...
