  49. flares are crappy weapons , the 12 gauge ones use a 209 primer and a shell. a flaregun in usa is never classed as "firearm" because it's a safety device sometimes mandatory , but then the 209 primer is a modern ammunition component or not , depends on loophole decisions and one guy made a 12 ga, pistol and engraved flares only on it ...i doubt that would save him but he thought so on one vid on here someplace i think he's stupid .../rant
