Lexus is the most reliable luxury brand. Before any Lexus leaves the plant, they go through a big quality control check to make sure there are no problems with them

The problem with Turbos is that don't last as long as non-turbo engines. Unfortunately the auto industry is putting turbo engines on their cars

Lane Assistant and Pedestrition detection are now on regular cars like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Lexus is the most reliable luxury car, however, their infotainment system isn't the best and Toyota had refused Android Auto until know.

Toyota's CVTs are reliable. I have not had any problems with my 2018 Corolla. Toyota did have a problem in 2019-2020 but fix them

Since Toyota's are well-built and reliable cars, they hold their value longer than any other car brand. As a result, used Toyota's are more expensive then other brands

Honda vans have transmission problems. They are less reliable then Toyota

I drive a 2018 Toyota Corolla SE. It has LED headlights, so the entire headlight assembly would have to be replaced if their is a problem with the light such as water leaking in. I saw a video where a mechanic opened the assembly which has a computer board inside. This also has automatic headlights/high beams. Unlike your Honda, it is not a simple headlight

Because Lexus is made by Toyota - the most reliable car brand. Why is Toyota so reliable? Unlike other car brands, Toyota doesn't put new technology on their cars that has been tested and proven to work. Also, they build cars with good quality materials.

@johnsonpianoco yea, Lexus is made by Toyota. It's Toyota's luxury brand, so it has the same reliability as Toyota

The Rav4 was just redesigned, so no trouble spots yet

Toyota also uses CVT on the Corolla sedan and it is very reliable.

Those German luxury cars put a lot of new & high tech that may not be proven reliable yet. Also, they use allot of plastics that break, covering up the entire enigne. They know that people will lease them not own them. As Scotty says, they are endless money pits

Unfortunately with all the new safety, electronic and technology features, cars been have become more complex. Mercedes puts any technology on their car that is available and not caring if is reliable or not. These can be very expensive to fix when they break. Toyota, however, has been slow to adopt new technology. They wait until the tech has proven reliable. In 2017, they introduced Safety Sense 1.0 which includes pre-collision system with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, lane departure alert/keeping and sway warning. It also has rear backup camera as required by law in 2018

Toyota's are reliable, but when the hybrid engine gets 7-10 years old they start to have problems that gas engines won't have. Parts wear out. Nothing lasts forever
