McAfee has been coming pre-installed with PCs and laptops you buy at the store. I recommend uninstalling and changing to one of the other better antivirus providers

Years ago it was found that Norton slowed down your PC. I don't know if that is true anymore as I don't use it. I had used it way back in the '90s

One thing I didn't like is that since 1Password is based in Canada and I am in America, I had to pay a foreign transaction fee

@SFBenjaminK IT used to be back in the early 2000's, Norton slowed down your PC. However, I do not know if that is still the case today

McAfee commonly comes pre-installed on Windows PCs & laptops.

Back in the day Norton Antivirus used to slow down your PC. This was back in the Windows 9X era.

I don' t think I would use a antivirus's password manager. I would instead use a stand-alone password manager such as 1Password.

Dues to LastPass's multiple security breaches and not telling the public, it is no longer recommended. I hated when they stop syncing on multiple devices on the free plan. In early 2023, I switched to 1Password

What about 1Password>
1
I just switched to 1Password from LastPass. I've very pleased with 1Password
1
LastPass free doesn't allow sync across multiple devices. They took that away in early 2021 which cripples if you use both a desktop or laptop and a phone
1
LastPass used to be a popular and recommended password manager until their security breaches and not being very transparent about it. I switched to 1Password almost 2 years ago and have been happy with it. 1Password added passkey support earlier this year and redesigned its web interface to match its desktop app interface. Like Nordpass, they have an authenticator built into the password manager
1
Since Proton Pass is new, it doesn't have all the features that 1Password has. I've been using 1Password for a year now and have been happy with it.
1
Unfortunately, 1Password reduced its trial from 30 days to 14 days. At least you can try it out before you decide to pay
1
Unfortunately 1Password does not offer a free version, but instead a 15 day free trial

I used LastPass for several years, but after their 2022 breaches, I switched to 1Password. I like Password and it has a great desktop app. A few years ago, LastPass had removed the ability to sync on multiple devices with the free version. Since LastPass has breached several times, they are no longer trustworthy or recommended.

A year ago I switched to 1Password from LastPass and have been very happy with it. I like 1Password's desktop app and browser extension. LastPass has suffered multiple breaches in the last few years, which is why I decided to try 1Password. Unfortunately, 1Password doesn't have a free plan, just a 15 day trail

Stop focusing on Apple. What about Android? I hate all these videos taking about Apple and not Android
1
Unfortunately, 1Password is the only password manager that doesn't offer a free version you can use forever. However, it is allot of great features and very secure with the security key in addition to the master password. Also, the web version is a little clunky, but the browser plug-in and Windows app are great. 1Password has been making improvements and adding new features. I hope they add in Dashline's feature of being able to change many passwords at once in the app. I had spend a week changing almost 300 passwords after the LastPass hack.

With LastPass's latest security breach, I recommend switching to 1Password. In November/December, they said the breach in the summer of 2022 was worst than originally thought. This is not the first time they've been hacked whereas 1Password has never been hacked.
1
Unfortunately LastPass suffered a severe hack in 2022 and is no longer a recommended password manager. In 2021, they crippled their free version no longe allowing sync across multiple devices
1
1Password has been around since 2006 (longer then LastPass) and hasn't had any breaches except for the attempted one you mentioned at the beginning of the video, so it is a safe and secure password manager
1
This video was made in early 2022, before the hack. Unfortunately, it was a severe hack, so it's time to switch to 1password
1
stop focusing on iPhone, what about Android? I hate all these videos focus on Apple and not on Google Android
1
@ivo3598 yes, that was a problem back 15 or so years ago when PCs were slower, but now on modern PCs which are faster it isn't an issue anymore
1
Due to the LastPass breach, LastPass is no longer recommended. I switched to 1Password
