As you said in the end, this is why manufacturers should not discontinue making small cars as GM, Chrysler & Ford have. Not everyone can afford or needs a big expensive car.

Those turbocharged engines are not as reliable which is why Toyota doesn't make then in the Corolla and other models. Honda had problems with it the CRV. Toyota is focused on reliability and quality. Toyota has the most reliable CVT
16
A major zonk is that it didn't have Android Auto when it first car out and Toyota is slow to roll out it
10
@SgtSpeed38 Toyota focuses on making reliable cars - so they don't put unreliable tech on their cars.
8
2017 was the 50th anniversary of the Corolla
6
@oskarngo9138 Not as reliable as Toyota
5
During the DaimerChrysler Era, quality and reliablity were poor. Chrysler was being cheap
3
last year I bought a 2018 Corolla SE with premium package for $20,000. The MSRP was $23,253. The premium package adds push to start, moonroof and upgrade to Entunes Plus with 7 inch screen (which is outdated and Toyota hasn't updated it). The dealer also included all weather floor mats. This SE has softex leather with cloth inserts, the new 2020 does not. Since it is the sports trim is has 17 inch rims and leather wrapped steering wheel
2
Also, now that FIAT owns Chrysler, it has Italian engines which aren't very reliable
2
The Sinnea is the most reliable minivan on the market.
2
Unlike the American brands who have given up on small cars and sedans, the Japanese and other foreign brands are not.
2
I don't know if I like the honey comb on the dash
2
The Corolla has always been unpowered compared to it's competitors
2
@Bobb9099 The only problem is that Toyota isn't offering an upgrade for the 2017-2019 models that have the outdated Entunes 2.0. That isn't fair, why can we replace the head unit with Entunes 3.0 from the new model? I would love to have Android Auto on my 2018 Corolla
2
The Civic offers dual zone a/c which the Corolla does not. The Civic has a bigger trunk
2
Minivans are car-based, whereas some SUV's are truck base, so minivans have the advantage of riding like a sedan
2
It has a much cleaner look then the previous model and looks as big as the Accord
2
Chrysler's UConnect looks better then Toyota's Entunes
2
It still doesn't have Android Auto. Toyota says they are working on it, but they are slow to integrate it
2
Manual only offered on the SE trim. The Corolla is the most reliable compact car. It has been completely redesigned for 2020
2
The Corolla had LED headlights standard first before the Civic and safety sense standard before the Civic
1
Toyota discontinued the slow-selling Yaris hatchback
1
This is the top of the line model with a few options. The base model starts at $19,500 which is $1,000 more expensive then the previous generation Corolla
1
I don't like Toyota decided to go back to a cheap plastic door handle. The previous model had a metal door handle. Corolla still doesn't have Android Auto
1
stop saying iPad, say tablet.
1
This car is made by BMW for Toyota. Just like Toyota, BMW has refused to support Android Auto which is why this car missing it
1
The Fit has the "magic" seats
1
Stay away from Fords with the dual-clutch transmission. They are bad transmissions in which was Ford was sued
1
The key fob is boring not much different from the previous gen. Other car manufactures have more fancy key fobs
1
At least Toyota updated to Entunes 3.0. I don't know if has Android Auto yet which Toyota is slow to roll out. I'm frustrated Toyota won't put Android Auto in all it's vehicles or update older models that have Entunes 2.0. That is a big zonk for Toyota as most the other competitors have Android Auto years before Toyota. Honda's infotainment system is better.
1
Toyota doesn't have lane watch which is a nice feature
1
Only the higher trims gets the digital guages
1
No, because Chrysler doesn't have the good quality and reliability that Toyota has. However, their Econnect infotainment system looks better then Toyota's Entunes system. It's Italian engines aren't good
1
There is a hybrid Corolla
1
Mazda added Android Auto to it, yet Toyota stil has not put Android Auto in the Corolla and Toyota won't update the older models the way Mazda did.
1
The switches are in the center just like on the Chrysler PT Cruiser. Chrysler was being very cheap then, cutting costs. That is why there are no buttons on the passenger door. The radio and A/C controls are the same as found in other Chrysler products at the time
1
What about the Kia Sedonna minivan? Chrysler is the least reliable. As you know, Chrysler vehicles from poor quality as they are not well built whereas Toyota is good quality
1
You can remote start using Toyota app on your phone
1
The spoiler is built into the body, not an add on
1
Say tablet, not iPad because there are many other tablets beside the iPad
1
yes it is missing Android Auto that everyone else has and I want it. It's a big turn off.
1
@jerryemt2001 It must have been recently added as it did not orginally come with it
1
Chrysler being cheap with the cargo net instead of a pocket. However, I am glad to see no cheap plastics in the front console. Back in the mid 2000s, Chrysler used cheap plastics in the interior
1
The problem with the camera so low, it can get dirty easily. Toyota's is not that low.
1
I think Chrysler is more focused on SUVs and Trucks then sedans
1
Alos, the inside door handles are plastic, whereas in the previous model they were metal.
1
@mindspinn311 yes, I know. It wasn't selling very well. However, Toyota didn't really advertise it either
1
Honda needs to bring the redesigned Fit to the USA. The current one is a bit dated
1
Since it is a Mazda, it doesn't have all the Toyota Safety Sense features that the Corolla has
1
On the previous gen Corolla, you could get softex leather with cloth inserts on the SE, but not on this new model.
