With the redesign, Toyota finally updated the under pinings which were very old in the previous Corolla
19
One new trim is the Hybrid. Also, there is a SE manual
9
The redesigned Corolla's back seat is a little more cramped then the previous model and may have a little less room then the Civic
5
The Corolla is the only small car to have all those safety features standard even on the base model. So, even the base model is loaded with features
4
The Civic has poor halogen headlights while the Corolla has LED lights standard on all trims
4
Manual can be hard to find as most are automatic
3
I wish I had it. Toyota had refused to support Android Auto until 2019. They are now slowly rolling out to current models. Unfortunately they are not offering an update to older model cars that have Toyota's outdated Entunes 2.0 which isn't compatible.
2
Toyota's Etune System is one of the easiet car systems to use
2
The redesigned 2020 Corolla adds features that the Civic already had - blind spot monitoring and electronic parking brake. But the Corolla has many safety features standard - Safety Sense 2.0, even on the base model, whereas on the Civic some of those safety features are optional on lower trims. Also, the Corolla has better brighter LED headlights then the Civic. LED headlights are standard on the Corolla. IIHS rates the Civic's headlights poor
2
On the outgoing Corolla you could get softex with cloth inserts on the SE and the XSE was full softex leather but not on the 2020 model
2
If you get the premium package on the SE it adds the moonroof, smart key (push button start) and upgraded Etunes Plus system with Scout GPS like the one in this video
1
The trunk is still smaller then the Civic which is 15 cubit feet
1
Still missing Android Auto. Toyota should have upgraded the Entune system in the 2018 and 2019 instead sticking in the old outdated 2.0
1
I see Toyota removed the cruise control stalk and put buttons on the steering wheel. They've used the cruise control stalk for many many years
1
How come this is not available for the Corolla and what about Android Auto? I prefer Android over Apple
1
@zkennedy2217 But no Android Auto, which I prefer over Apple CarPlay. It should have both, not just one. My 18 Corolla SE has Etune 2.0, which Toyota has not offered an upgrade for. But the new 2020 Corolla has Etune 3.0 and CarPlay. Don't you hate it they make you stuck with the old software version?
1
Unlike the Honda Civic, Toyota doesn't offer a performance version of the Corolla
1
Civic has Android Auto something the Corolla is still missing. On the Civic, the multimedia screen is at an angle causing a sun glare and is smaller then the 8 inch on the Corolla. Toyota is working on Android Auto and will add it. Toyota is so slow to update technology.
1
My 2018 Corolla SE has lights above the sun visor that turn on when you open the mirror. Also, I don't have those cup holders on the back of the center console. It's just an empty space. I don't know some Corollas have those cup holders and others don't
1
Toyota limits the heated front seats to only the top of the line XSE and XLE trims
1
@f181234 Also, heated steering wheel is only offered in Canada and not the US. Same goes for wiper de-icer. But it still can get cold in the US in winter (north part)
