A big difference with Brittanic is that she sank in shallower and warmer waters. She lays on her almost in tact. This is why there is no rust on Brittanic.

One person was killed when Titanic was launched
1
Ironically, he found the wreck at the same time Titanic sank - 2:20 AM
1
some think that since tge Olympic had to borrow a propeller from the Titanic for repairs, she has Titanic's 401 propeller which brings up the switch theory
1
It was very dark that night since their was no moonlight, so it would be difficult to see if Titanic had broken apart especially after she lost power
1
Titan, the Oceangate submersible, was poorly designed. It had a carbon fiber hull, which got weaker with every dive into Titanic. Carbon Fiber was not designed to go deep underwater several times. CEO Stockhom Rush ignored safety warnings about carbon fiber and didn't have it inspected for damage from previous dives before that fatal dive last year
1
As you know, they didn't keep the Olympic as a museum and instead scrapped her. The combined Cunard-White Star was having financial issues and could not afford to turn her into a museum. Before scrapping her, they did try to sell her

In the movie Titanic II a rouge wave caused an iceberg hit the ship. The ship fell over on her side and sank

yes, they tried to drop the anchor in attempt to stop

It's said that it could not be saved like the Queen Mary was. The SS United States had set the record for the world's fastest ship. Because she was left to rot, it would cost too much to restore her
1
After Titanic sank, safety laws were passed: 1) Wireless operators must be on all night 24/7, 2) lifeboat drills required & 3) enough lifeboats for all passengers. The British Board of Trade had failed to update its lifeboat law as ships grew bigger and it was based on gross tonnage not the number of passengers. We all know greedy Mr. Ismay lowered the number of lifeboats to the minimum required on Titanic
1
Despite eyewitness testimonies that Titanic broke in 2 pieces when she sank, the inquiry ruled that Titanic lay at the bottom of the ocean in one piece. Since it was very dark when Titanic sank, It would have hard to see Titanic breaking
1
@philiphumphrey1548 yes, since no moon it was very dark that night
1
Captain Smith was overconfident in these large ships. He said "“I cannot imagine any condition which would cause a ship to founder. Modern shipbuilding has gone beyond that"
1
Back in Titanic, lifeboats were not viewed as lifesavers, but to transport passengers from a distressed ship to a nearby rescue ship. This is why they didn't think they need to have enough lifeboats for everyone aboard
1
That is true. Some passengers that is just a drill or precautionary measure to get into lifeboats. Captain Smith and the officers had decided not to tell passengers Titanic was sinking because they were afraid it would cause a panic. Remember their were PA systems back them on shuos
1
This is cargo ship is much bigger then Titanic (in terms of gross tonage) and so the bridge had no chance of withstanding the collision. For some reason, the cargo ship had lost power meaning they could not control the ship, so they couldn't stop it from colliding into the bridge. The ship was going about 8 knots.
1
I first about TItanic in the 8th grade when my teacher taught the class about Titanic which he would do every spring. This was in 1991 or 1992. I have been fascinated with Titanic every since
1
Titanic and Olympic were designed to sail in icy waters
1
Olympic was the only surviving sister ship as Britannic would sink in 1916. Olympic would stay in service until 1935 when she was scrapped. After Titanic sank, they had to make safety improvements
1
The ship hit the bridge 1:30 AM EDT
1
Research found that they ordered weaker rivets than was specified in the design
1
There is a theory that White Star Line sank Titanic on purpose see the documentary "Why They Sank Titanic"
1
If Titanic had taken her maiden voyage in March, she would not have met the iceberg that sank here.
1
After Titanic sank, construction was halted on Brittanic to make safety changes, but sadly those couldn't save her from sinking
1
The designers couldn't imagine a scenario where a ship would collide with an iceberg
1
Despite eyewitness testimonies that Titanic broke in two, the court ruled that Titanic sank in one piece
1
@TsaGo_1912 yes I did. I know they said she was underinsured
1
There is the 1980 movie Raise the Titanic
1
Human error can cause a ship to sink.

Did you know that Captain Smith had failed his navigation test twice? Captain Smith had the wrong coordinates after they hit the iceberg

We didn't have CGI graphics technology back in the 19990s that we have today when the movie was filmed
1
@chocolatecatdad yes that is true. It is viewed that lifeboats would transport people from a distressed ship to a nearby rescue ship.
1
Brittanic was under construction in 1913 and slightly bigger then Olympic/Titanic. They had to stop construction to make safety improvements
1
Brittanic is in better condition then TItanic because she lays in less deep water and is almost intact on her side as she did not break apart when she sank
1
The Flip standing in the air just like when Titanic sank
1
We learned from the Titanic disaster that their is no such thing as an unsinkable ship
1
Cunard designed the Lustaina designed it to be the fastest ship, while White Star Line designed it's Olympic class ships to be the most luxurious ships. As such, Olympic, Titanic & Brittanic are a little slower then Lustania
1
The Ice Patrol was created after Titanic sank to prevent another Titanic disaster
1
If Britannic didn't sink, she would have retrofitted back to a passenger ship after the war ended and would have gone on to live a life like her sister ship Olympic
1
Since Britannic sank during the war, she never made it to passenger service
1
It was discovered, that they ordered weaker rivets for Titanic then were specified in the design
1
As you know, by 1935 the RMS Olympic was considered outdated and so they made the decision to scrap her after 25 years of service. She became known as "the old reliable" Cunard-White Star Line tried to sell her, but were unsuccessful. The company could not afford to turn Olympic into a museum. J Bruce Ismay died in 1937 at the age of 74
1
Of course, today safety is taken more seriously than it was in Titanic's day
1
Bruce Ismay, the chairman of White Star Line, who was aboard Titanic didn't want Olympic to rescue because it would look bad to have an identical ship rescue them.
