Chrysler is celebrating its 100th birthday, as it was founded in 1925. Their website says a century of innovation. Chrysler should be celebrating 100 years of poor quality, which is why they've gone bankrupt several times. They used plastics in the interior and have had unreliable tranmissions

Ford, GM & Chrysler are always trying to reduce production costs by doing these cost-cutting measures. This is why their quality and reliability isn't very good. Unfortuantely, all the technology and safety features have made cars more expensive to build
104
The Chrysler Corporation was founded 100 years ago in 1925. However, they are not Chrysler Corporation now since they were bought by another company
29
Fiat-Chrysler already had poor quality/reliability, so Stellantis should not have bought them in the first place. Americans don't want Italian junk
22
Besides leaking, if you don't use the sunroof (meaning you don't open it), the mechanism that opens it can rust and then it won't open. You should open the sunroof from time to time to make sure it works properly and it doesn't leak. Therefore, I can understand why mechanics don't like sunroofs

Just like the manufactures don't want to sell small cars in the USA, they don't sell small trucks in USA probably because they think small trucks won't make enough profit
14
GM & Ford made a mistake jumping on the electric bandwagon. They could learn from Toyota.
12
That is way automakers cost cut - putting a basic backup camera with a small screen as they don't want to spend allot of money on something fancy
9
A problem is that on newer cars, manufactures (including Toyota) have gotten rid of the transmission fluid dip stick which means you have no way of checking it
8
It's a shame that GM, Ford & Chrysler don't know how to build good quality & reliable compact cars like the Toyota Corolla. These Big 3 would make to cheaply to cut costs as they didn't want to spend allot of money on a small car
6
The Toyota Corolla LE is $23,000 as it has gotten more expensive. Mitsubishi is soon to discontinue the MIrage
5
Leave flushing to your toilet, not your car
5
If a car has high mileage or some problem and they can't be certified, then the dealer will sell the car to an auction
5
Just like Ford, GM has discontinued making sedans as they don't make as higher profit margins as SUVs and trucks. The Chevy Malibu is aging and is behind the Toyota Camry and Honda Accrod
4
If you look at a Toyota Corolla that lives up north, check for rust in the underpinnings of the car
4
yes, once your cars warranty has ended such as ToyotaCare, there is no need to go back to the dealer except for a recall
4
Another problem some Hyundai and Kia's don't have engine immobilizer which can prevent theft
4
I've also heard a story of a mirror melting on a Honda Civic
4
LED lights don't burn hot and last much longer. They also use less electricity and are brighter then halogen
3
Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth were never good quality. But they got worse after Fiat bought Chrysler bringing America Italian junk. I think Chrysler was the worst of the Big 3 automakers in terms of quality and reliability. In the 1980s, Lee Iacocca thought Chrysler cars were just as good as the Japanese

In April, Scotty stopped posting videos at 3:30 PM

This is a Sentra from the early 2000s before Renault bought Nissan, so Nissan's reliability hadn't gone down hill yet
3
oh look it says Made in Mexico. Toyota has 10 plants in America, so they should be making more of their cars and trucks in USA not in Mexico
3
Some parking lots have narrow/small parking spaces as they were designed for sedans, not big trucks or SUVs
3
A common problem on Toyota Corolla and Camry's from the early 2000s is missing hubcaps - it's a design defect. They come loose and fall off
3
Even for the Japanese automakers, sedans are not selling as high volumes as they used to
3
It used to be that the next model year would start arriving in July-August
3
It also wears out the starter faster
2
Hyundai announced that they are ending their 3-year free maintenance program staring with the 2026 model year
2
Smoking causes cancer which can shorten your lifespan. For example, some celebrities died of lung cancer in their 60s. If they had not smoked, they may lived into their 80s
2
Cadillac is just a more upscale luxury version of Chevy and Buick
2
Kia, a koren company is not like the Japanese automaker Toyota. They are being cheap and don't want to spend money to fix the problem
2
Sadly the American auto workers don't take pride in building good quality cars as the Japanese auto workers do. They only care about making money
2
IF you have OEM Toyota windshield wipers, you can just replace the blades by buying inserts at the dealer
2
Yes it's a shame that cars are not built as well as they were in the 2000s. Unfortuantely, the cost of materials and the high tech on modern cars have made cars more expensive to build, so automakers are looking for ways to cut costs
2
Scotty stop posting car repair videos at 3:30 PM
2
Honda runs out of refrigeration sooner than a Toyota
2
Toyota has 7 plants in America and Honda also has a plant in America. But that doesn't mean they make all the models in America. They assemble some in Canada, Mexico or Japan
2
Unfortuntately some dealerships and repair shops will try to sell you parts you don't need so that can make more money
1
It's Stellantis' fault that you have to pay. That is stupid that they do that
1
Ford, GM & Chrysler have come up with some stupid designs and as Scotty said they do this in order to save money on production costs
1
Yes, Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep all went down hill when Chrysler merged with Fiat
1
Bucee's is planning on building more new gas stations such as in Virginia
1
The cover is missing on the engine, and look how clean it is. Scotty doesn't care to keep his engines clean
1
Samsung makes most of their Galaxy smartphones in Vietnam which are sold in the USA. Samsung says they will have to raise prices because of the tariffs
1
GM uses cheap plastics to cut costs
1
Ford has neglected Lincoln. Lincoln had gotten upset when Ford decided to stop making sedans, as Lincoln wanted a sedan to compete with Cadillac which was still making sedans
1
Good advice Scotty. Once the ToyotaCare warranty expires on your car, stop servicing at the dealer
1
Since small cars have a lower profit margin, GM, Ford & Chrysler don't want to make small cars
1
Audi is just the luxury version of Volkswagen just like Lexus is the luxury version of Toyota
