Pretty much sums up the Jimmy Dore crowd these days. Not to mention, I've visited his channel recently, Jimmy keeps them all woefully ignorant to important issues & even lies about the way people vote sometimes (whether knowingly or because he's a huge dumbass who doesn't understand how the House and Senate work). For instance, there was that giant push for $2,000 stimulus checks, which Bernie & Josh Hawley pushed for originally & then after Trump vetoed the bill, the House passed the checks & then Bernie nearly single-handedly tried to filibuster the Defense Budget & keep the Senators there over New Years so they would be forced to vote on the checks (in doing so he also cornered the Republicans & hurt the Georgia Republican incumbents). You look at Dore's channel, not one word about Bernie & Hawley pushing for stimulus checks, not one word about Bernie & a bipartisan coalition in the Senate trying to force McConnell to give survival checks to Americans while also fighting against the Defense Budget (another issue Jimmy claims to care about a lot). The only thing Jimmy ever mentioned about the issue was when he gave Donald Trump credit for vetoing the bill. If you were a Jimmy Dore viewer & that's all you ever watched, it would be easy to think that Donald Trump is somehow the only one in favor of stimulus checks - he doesn't cover any other movement on it, he doesn't cover Bernie (the only reason we got $600 to begin with & might even get $2,000 soon) because he's already condemned Bernie as thee "sellout" one. It wouldn't make Dore look good if he had to report about the guy he claims is a fraud & sellout literally working to give you & your working class families money for rent & bills. Jimmy won't ever report on any positive things Bernie, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Justice Democrats, or any Progressive he's already personally condemned, because at the end of the day, Jimmy only ever cares about his own image; the only time he ever gives a shit about the policy is to either yell at Democrats (& now Progressives) over or when it's his idea that's he's pushing. Otherwise you won't hear a peep about it from him, especially from anyone he's called a "sellout".

It's getting pathetic seeing these types of comments strawmanning the entire Left that are not ride or die with "Force the Vote", a debatable strategy that utterly failed to even get off the ground because Dore spent all his time smearing the people he needed to win over to get the votes needed.

That was my first impression when I saw Dore had devolved into nonstop attacking AOC & Justice Democrats as a part of his "pressure campaign" aka smear campaign disguised as something constructive. Dore has been attacking them as sellouts for 3 years now but is suddenly expecting them to listen to him as he makes demands while STILL continuing to smear their intentions in politics as bad faith actors who are corrupt (even though they were literally elected on small dollar donors & have pledged to push the Dems towards Leftist policies). Not to mention, he was attacking them before the vote even took place, basically ensuring that they would tune him out & ignore him - just totally counterproductive drivel.

@StygianStilettosGamer I mean this stuff really isn't even up for debate. Jimmy's attacks against TYT & Cenk were incredibly gross & personal. He attacked a fellow Youtube channel's daily income & followers, basically trying to hurt their bottom line. It would be one thing if they were political enemies, but they have one strategic disagreement over a single House vote, & suddenly Dore is spending his time making videos smearing TYT as somehow duping their patrons for simply asking for money. This behavior is unacceptable in every way.

Yeah, it's pretty fucked up to do personal attacks on any Youtube channel that agrees with you on policy (most his attacks are not even politics based, but attacking TYT for asking for money from patrons), but TYT basically built his career & channel. It kind of reminds me of how Dave Rubin went on to obsessively attack TYT, likely for views & to win favor with the Right.

That's about as personal as it gets, not to mention it's the organization that built his career & channel to begin with. That is a total Dave Rubin move. Has TYT done personal attacks against Dore? Because as far as I know Cenk debated him on the strategic implications of Force the Vote & as a result Jimmy began going too far with his attacks, as usual, & started lobbing attacks against TYT & their patrons. That's as low as you can go, especially because they all agree on the same policies - Dore has a tendency to baselessly smear people's intentions as bad faith aka "sellouts" or "fucking liars".

@ippothedestroyer The only actual plan that is viable is to either win the presidency (so it can be maybe passed with executive order) or continue to oust corporate Democrats & replace with pro-M4A House members. There is no secret strategy & you guys are fools to think a M4A vote wouldn't just lead to the bill being dead on arrival - something that could potentially hurt the campaign more than anything. Even if every single co-signer on the bill supported it, you'd still be off by hundreds of votes. Wtf is the point of putting people record when the co-signers would just vote for it anyways because it has no chance of being close to passing even with their votes. Either way, the bill is dead on arrival, the energy to get it passed would be deflated once it lost (just as all bills go through when they die), & then if all the cosigners just vote for it, then your plan of "putting people on record" doesn't even work. You waste the political capital for nothing when you could've leveraged more solid things. At least now there is no more PayGo to stop all Left-wing policies, so you could potentially, in the next 2 years, have a vote on Green infrastructure, free college, & healthcare, not just a one-time M4A vote that would be dead on arrival. At least removing PayGo is something concrete, especially because a Green infrastructure deal actually does have a chance of passing the House in this Congress unlike M4A, which has less than 0% chance at the moment.

However, instead of productively trying to win over the votes to make a M4A vote happen, he spent all his time baselessly smearing the politicians he needed to win over - an utterly counterproductive tactic for a guy who barely understands how Congress even functions in the first place. What those smears & attacks all amount to in the end is doing the corporate Democrats a favor by causing massive infighting on the Left & pushing Dore lefties to get de-politicized & throw progressive congressmembers under the bus when they need our support & activism now more than ever (Dems have a super-majority for the next 2 years & there is work to be done).

@ippothedestroyer If Progressives refused to vote (if their demands were too unreasonable for Pelosi), you can bet that Pelosi would just give Republican House members some concessions instead & get Republicans to make up the difference. Also, yes the only other person who was running for the Speaker position was a corporate Democrat that was to Pelosi's right. What he's saying is not far off & it is still just a disagreement on inner-House politics. In response, Jimmy was lobbing personal attacks at TYT & making videos titled "TYT keeps shamelessly asking for ca$h from their patrons during a pandemic". I'm not sure how anyone can defend this when all Cenk did was debate Dore on the politics. The fact that TYT & Uygar basically built Dore's career & channel (initially shooting it in their studio) is just icing on the cake.

@wtfyomom It's funny because Seder actually did join in originally & gave Dore credit for the idea to leverage Pelosi's vote (role the tape). It was when Jimmy went ape shit & started throwing baseless smears every which way in an attempt to uh... win people over? (I'm still not clear what he thought he was doing).. but that was when Seder began criticizing Dore, he was actually on board with it originally before it became totally & utterly counterproductive & destructive - something that you & others never caught onto apparently. Even Kyle Kulinski, who supported Force the Vote throughout it's entirety, has come out & said the 'sellout' attacks & smearing of people's intentions as bad faith was totally counterproductive to the main goal of winning their votes. "Force the Vote" is not the end-all-be-all for "having healthcare", it wasn't even a strategy that planned on getting the M4A bill passed the House. It's funny because Jimmy's given Trump credit for simply vetoing the bill (& then signing it anyways after playing pretend), but Dore has refused to say one single word about Bernie pushing for stimulus checks for months now & working with Hawley - you know literally the only reason we got $600 checks at all & probably the reason we still might get $2,000 due to being insistent on it & making it a big issue with Hawley.
