@zkey14 She's for Medicare for All the same way Kamala Harris is for Medicare for All. Harris was one of the first co-sponsors of HR 676. The reason neither of them actually support Medicare for All is that they refuse to accept that Medicare for All eliminates duplicative private insurance. They continue to say that the Single Payer market can be primarily run on private insurance and that completely defeats the purpose of a Medicare for All system where everyone is in the same pool for primary/necessary healthcare.

You had an actual argument and credibility until you claimed he's "sexist" simply because he has substantive criticisms of 2 female candidates. He's given support for Williamson, so you're really just making yourself look foolish by throwing that out there.

He's being slightly hyperbolic about the class struggles thing and I'll admit it seems unfair without a follow-up explanation, but I think the thing he is getting at is that Warren is not willing to take on the establishment, other corporate Democrats and even bend the Republican party to her Will the same way Bernie is. Bernie wants to use his grassroots support to elect new progressive politicians that are willing to do the bidding of the American people, not large corporate donors. Any Joe Manchin type Dems that don't vote for his Single Payer bill, he will sway by going to their states and rallying their constituents against them. In other words, he has an actual strategy to get done all the things he's talking about rather than just proposing a plan, and the strategy bit is extremely important if you actually want to see these plans implemented.

Warren just doesn't have what it takes to take on the Fossil Fuel companies, the healthcare companies, the military industrial complex, etc. and you NEED to have political courage if you want to succeed in making America a better place, you NEED to directly go after these entities. Saying all that, I would still vote for Warren if she was the nominee, I have no delusions about her being miles better than all the other corporate Democrats in the race.

@chiritarisu Yes, and SO HAS Kamala Harris, does that mean she actually supports it? They both support a public option and refuse to address how the Medicare for All bills they supposedly support eliminate duplicative private insurance. Both Harris and Gabbard both claim private insurance still has a primary role to play in the healthcare system, thus they're NOT FOR MEDICARE FOR ALL. They don't support what's actually in the legislation.

@chiritarisu Her remarks were no different than what Kamala Harris, Butigieg, or even Warren would say (when she herself is flip flopping). The fact that you're twisting the facts to defend this is making me lose any respect for you. She's NOT talking about supplemental private insurance, do you hear her saying that? She's talking about a "primary role" for insurance companies, that means they want the insurance to be included in the Medicare for All market, which is why we keep telling you that's NOT real Medicare for All when you do that. You would have to be daft as hell to think "supplemental insurance" for plastic surgery, lasik and such are considered a "primary role" in Medicare for All. The entire point of Medicare for All is to push out for-profit private insurance from the healthcare markets so Medicare for All, by itself, covers all provided procedures and private insurance is NOT allowed to provide their own shitty for-profit version of that healthcare. When we talk about supplemental insurance, it is completely outside of this system, so any mention of a "primary role" should be a dead giveaway she's not talking about "supplemental".

@chiritarisu If you're not going to listen to us on the facts, then at least do your own fucking research so you can be educated on the differences between supplemental insurance and duplicative private insurance, which is currently the PRIMARY forms of insurance in the market and what medicare for all would completely eliminate because it is predatory by nature.

@TulsiBot It's perfectly fine to support Tulsi, but just be honest about her record. There are Tulsi supporters who have made excuses about how she just voted to condemn the free speech of BDS. If any other candidate did this, those same people would be done with them for good.
