You keep on shadow boxing your opponents with the most extreme examples & trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. The most he's seemingly at fault for is being pro-Houthi when everyone in Yemen supports the Houthis because it is their only form of resistance against outside invading forces (forces that routinely b0mb weddings & playgrounds). There is value in trying to understand what it is like living in a country like that constantly under siege. You sound like you're already coming into this with your own fixed bias and just working backwards from your conclusion - the conclusion that Hasan is wrong & now I will twist myself into a pretzel to argue no Yemeni voices should ever be heard in Western media.

@sarahmuth171 I also wanted to agree with the guy (specifically about the "k1ll cops" thing) until he began twisting the argument & using it as a way to silence any discussion with marginalized voices in other countries constantly under siege. We hear the perspective of Isra3l & Saudi Arabia all the time, but barely ever the resistance groups in the countries they persecute because they are not allies of big bad America. He clearly had a bias going into the discussion

From what I gathered, he's simply nuance trolling the tone of performative activism (specifically the most extreme examples) & conflating it to platforming Arabs in destabilized nations in an attempt to hide his own butthurt feelings over eye-rolling internet drama. Ironic since it's pretty much the same thing Ethan Klein himself is doing.

Hasan was trying to be responsible by stating that there was a chance, small or not, that the influencer was a Houthi but the kid himself said he was not & is just pro-Houthi, simply because everyone in Yemen supports the Houthis, it's their only form of resistance to brutal outside invading forces. Footage of him shooting guns has been used to try to prove he's Houthi, but it's a country that has more gun ownership than America - it's like showing a clip of Hasan shooting an AR and saying he must be in a far right militia.

@KCrimson00 Literally thought you were talking about Bernie being the ignorant one since Hasan never endorsed Biden or Kamala especially after learning they were facilitating a g3nocide in the middle east. I'm sure Bernie now wishes he could take back his endorsement, but he's been pretty blinded to a lot of Democrat-backed foreign policy.

Yeah, there's two separate points in there to discuss, but the caller is trying to mash them together & nuance troll as if what Hasan does leads to writing "K1ll ____" on federal property. It's ridiculous.
