Comments by "" (@thehumanity0) on "In Defense of Jimmy Dore" video.
The problem with Jimmy Dore is that he says his opinion as if it's "unvarnished truth" and he taps into the anger of his fans so his audience just believes his words as "truth". This is not how anyone else on the left operates and why people have been calling him the "Alex Jones of the left", something I personally don't agree with, but the comparison is made because he uses anger and emotions to drive his unverified points home with his audience and anyone who disagrees is a "sellout" or "shill". How do you not see even a slight problem with this?

Jimmy Dore is a right-winger who sounds like a progressive. I'm sure he'll be calling himself a "classical progressive" pretty soon with the route he's going.

Kyle Kulinski and Progressive Voice also disagreed with Jimmy, just not as harshly. This is something that almost the entire community agrees on but most are trying to give polite answers to.

Jimmy Dore's "truth" is his opinion that he speaks as fact. When he says things with complete certainty like Ocasio-Cortez is a 'sellout' and she is 'co-opting', this is what people get angry and annoyed over because Ocasio-Cortez is doing all she can for progressives and she gets shit from Jimmy over a 9 second clip on CNN.

"What they're saying is lazy". No dude, calling it "establishment mindset" is what's 'lazy', because it's not just them with this disagreement. They're the most outspoken about it, but Kyle Kulinski and Progressive Voice have also given half-hearted disagreements with Jimmy without the harsh descriptions. Kulinski has says "I don't know if Jimmy actually believes that, but if he does, he's just wrong, Ocasio-Cortez has all the right policies and all the right goals, so he's just wrong if he thinks that." And Progressive Voice has basically mirrored the same criticism with both of them saying "Cortez shouldn't have back Cuomo in that clip, but it's foolish and wrong to call her a sellout and say the Democratic takeover isn't working". Clearly this is not just "establishment mindset" since everyone either mostly agrees or extremely agrees and finds the behavior "toxic" to the cause.

None of you are actually talking about the substance of this. It's not just Pakman or Dixon, or Seder, it's also Kyle Kulinski and Progressive Voice who have vocalized their disagreements. By just making this about Pakman and 'he's not a real progressive and just a shill', you're not even touching on the disagreement AT ALL. This is what Jimmy's audience is like nowadays it seems...

Talk about "lazy" defenses, I don't even watch Seder or Pakman, but the idea of calling them neoliberal because they're 'shilling for the establishment' is the laziest thing you can do in this disagreement. You're not actually touching on the substance of what they said and you're just calling them 'shills' to deflect. This seems to be the immediate response for any criticism by Jimmy Dore viewers. Just respond with "Sellout!".

+Barbara Smith - You're still just deflecting from the topic. They were not the only ones to give criticism on Jimmy Dore. Benjamin Dixon was part of this as well, and Kyle Kulinski and Progressive Voice also voiced their disagreements with Dore just not as harsh as the others.

You're not actually talking about the substance of the disagreement. It was about Jimmy's coverage of progressives like Ocasio-Cortez and constant Bernie bashing (who just got Amazon to raise its minimum wage to $15). This and everything else I've seen people talk about is just straight up deflection from the topic because you don't want to talk about it.

This isn't just about Pakman, Kyle Kulinski and Progressive Voice have also voiced disagreements with Jimmy's coverage of Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie. This isn't about Pakman, it's about Jimmy whose been going overboard recently and many of his fans even admit this.

@Banana_Split_Cream_Buns I said that a year ago buddy. Progressive Voice used to be supportive of Jimmy once upon a time believe it or not.

Secular Talk and Progressive Voice had also disagreed with Dore's coverage, just not as wholeheartedly as Pakman.
