+monte68x - Yeah because he is the bad guy. He's the reason we have Ajit Pai as chairman in the first place making Daily Caller videos about how internet censorship is cool and hip. Trump is to thank for all this shit, he should at least take the blame first hand if he wants to fuck us like he is.

+Username - How are you "subbed to Dore" and still believe that the GOP isn't anything but a party of corporate slaves just like the Dems outside of Berniecrats and Justice Democrats. You must be learning nothing from Jimmy Dore unfortunately.

Yeah, but now we have Dems on record saying they will all vote for Net Neutrality and we can hold their feet to fire from here on out over it. Maybe, some will flip in the future, but it gives the people ammunition in threatening the Dems who are spineless. Also, it just shows us that the entire Republican Party is bought by the Telecom companies when the vast majority of their own party is in favor of gutting Net Neutrality. This is a sad example of how our democracy is severely broken and crippled.

Jimmy I don't understand why you didn't even give the Dems credit on this. This is actually a unique situation where they did something right, but you don't even mention the fact that every single Dem voted in favor of Net Neutrality. The only thing you said was "Even the Republicans went over for it". TWO. 2 Republicans voted in favor of the CRA. Literally all the Dems and both Independents banded together to vote for it. Just fucking give them credit. Credit where credit's due Jimmy. If you don't recognize the successes of a person or a party then what's the point in them ever voting the right way again.

The book Ready Player One is a great example of a worst case scenario when the Telecom Companies are completely unregulated. Just read that book and you will see the absolute horror of what corporations could do with unlimited power and control over political legislation.

2 Republicans. TWO. Jimmy stop misleading your viewers and tell them the truth that literally every Independent and Democrat voted for the bill, while only TWO Republicans voted correctly. You're not giving the real story when you say stuff like "the Republicans went over to vote for it". It was 3% of the Republican Party.

Actually Silicon Valley probably has the least amount of lobbyists in Washington, which is why we had 3 whole fucking days of Zuckerburg being grilled by Congress while we barely had a few hours of Congress questioning the corrupt fuckers over at Equifax for losing all our SSNs, credit card and bank numbers. The Democrats are trying to prove to the public that they actually stand with the majority of Americans who want Net Neutrality. I think it's like 87% of the public is in favor of it. Sure it's a political calculation on the Dem's part, but it would be fucked up if ANY party wasn't fully in favor of Net Neutrality. It's overwhelmingly popular even the vast majority of Republicans want it.

It's all important. Look at how Marijuana still affects businesses in Colorado and Oregon just because it is illegal on the federal level. Businesses can't have corporate bank accounts and are always cautious of their businesses getting shut down because of fuckwads like Jeff Session in government. The same thing will be the case with Telecom companies taking every advantage they can get from no Net Neutrality protections at the federal level. Also red states are going to be fucked the most because their state governments are the most retarded and will never implement Net Neutrality. Montana excluded.

+monte68x - Btw, if it actually gets to Trump, I hope to fucking God he actually does the right thing and signs it, because I care about Net Neutrality a million times more than Trump looking like a corporate sellout.

So if they vote the right way they're being "exploitive and predatory". Give them credit where credit's due or else they're not going to see the point in ever voting the right way. Who gives a shit if they're using it politically, it's the right way to vote on it and Net Neutrality is extremely important. Why don't you shame the Republican side for almost entirely voting against it? Even if they're using it politically, now we have them on the record that the Dems stand for Net Neutrality and they will be held to that standard in the future. That is a victory in itself.

+Mike Foss - Also, this vote is good because it puts more attention on Net Neutrality and also gives it a fighting chance against the House and Trump, which is a long shot but if the public continues to call up representatives and hold their feet to the fire it's possible. You're analysis of this vote is ridiculous to say the least. They voted correctly. It's all that matters especially if you care about Net Neutrality.

+Terry Tater - Oh I didn't see he said "Republican Senate". Yeah it was actually only 2 Republicans that voted yes on the vote. Lisa Merkowski and John Kennedy. Everyone else basically gave us the middle finger as +JohnKesich said. I thought he was talking about the Dems because they knew it wouldn't get Trump's approval.
1
+Terry Tater - Jimmy didn't even make it clear that literally every Dem and Independent voted for the CRA, while every Republican except for 2 voted against it basically telling the American people to go fuck themselves.
