I bet New Yorkers are still super pissed from the massive voter suppression in the 2016 primary where 27% of voters were denied their rights to vote for Bernie. I can't wait for Schumer's reelection race so we can take him out too with another Democratic Socialist. Everytime I hear neocons, Fox News and certain neoliberals scream "Commie" it makes me smile.

He literally said "These wins are meaningless". I don't get all this pessimism AT ALL. So we just had a HUGE win, knocked out the #4 Dem in the House who outspent the progressive victor 10 to 1 and you guys just want progressives to say "Fuck It, let's quit now" as if this proves it's hopeless? Does that make ANY sense to ANYONE??

When progressives and democratic socialists steal Pelosi's seat, Chuck Schumer's seat, and Paul Ryan's seat in August/November (Randy Bryce), is Jimmy going to still say "this is barely a win for progressives". Jimmy why don't you lead progressives for a change instead of trying to "throw a wrench" in our energy and mobilization in voting out and fighting against the establishment corporate Democrats and purging the party.

Yeah, I like Jimmy too, but I pretty much knew he was going to have a pessimistic take on this. I actually thought he might just not report on it at all even though it was the biggest win for progressives for the entire year so far (taking down future Pelosi). He doesn't want to admit that progressives are actually having success at purging the Democratic Party and that strategy will likely ultimately win out over his own 'Draft Bernie' agenda, which really hasn't had any movement and Jimmy's been constantly repeating himself for 2 years now about starting a new party. He needs to get with the program and back progressives on all fronts. That is the best path for success, just like how generals used to wage war on multiple fronts and multiple battle lines.

Cortez was outspent 10 to 1 by Crowley, Ben Jealous was backed by Bernie only while his opponent had something like 30 endorsements from establishment politicians, Kara Eastman beat the corporate Dem in Nebraska, Jess King won her House race in PA because the establishment Dem dropped out because it was a lost cause, and several progressives won their races in Texas. Randy Bryce is going to win Paul Ryan's seat the majority leader in the House and the list goes on. Wtf are you saying "they can't beat them". They already are dude.

How did you manage to spin a gigantic progressive win for Ocasio-Cortez as saying "This actually helps the establishment Democrats". I think Crowley and Pelosi would massively disagree with you considering there is raw footage of Pelosi shitting her pants on stage earlier today saying "Let's not get carried away". You sound like Nancy Pelosi Jimmy, just with different motivations.

This is just sad. Every progressive channel out there is talking about how great of an election night it was for progressives and how many progressives won their races, yet you have Jimmy here listing off all the corporate Democrats that won as if progressives actually somehow lost because a handful of corporate Dems were elected.

Yeah the fact that shit companies like Lockheed-Martin, H&R Block, Bank of America, and about 30 more lost $3.3 million with Joe Crowley makes me happy as hell. Maybe they will think twice before throwing millions of dollars down the toilet to try to battle the American people who win by simply knocking on doors and not being corrupt pieces of garbage.

+niceguy60 - When are people going to realize California is not a good example of a progressive state. The politicians love to pretend and act like progressives, but California voted for Hillary in the primary, and it is a haven for neoliberals like Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Feinstein, and many more. If you want a real example of progressivism go to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Maine, New Hampshire. New York likely would've voted for Bernie in 2016 if they didn't have super closed primaries where the DNC essentially suppressed 27% of voters, so I'd say New York is even more progressive than California.

+Dave D - I don't think you mean "Jimmy" with what you're talking about. Jimmy only really supports 3rd Party candidates whereas what you're saying is more in line with Kyle Kulinski's principles with saying we need a revolution on several fronts, not just in one party or outside the 2 parties. Jimmy's even gone as far as saying Bernie shouldn't run in 2020 if he does it on the Dem ticket. You can even see his bias in this video where he literally said "These wins are meaningless" even though most progressives feel this election was a turning point for progressives just as Eric Cantor was for the Tea Party.

It's not the first step. Justice Democrats, Our Revolution and Democratic Socialists of America have had a 50% success rate of their backed candidates. Cortez is just the first prominent example because she was outspent 10 to 1 and dethroned essentially the future Nancy Pelosi. Something like 14 Justice Democrats have won their races for Congress and Our Revolution and lower office candidates are destroying because they aren't being massively outspent like the candidates for Senate and House.

+Dezzz - It's not just that, but it's also that we need to fight the establishment on multiple fronts. Even if a person hates the Dems, they should still be able to use strategy to their advantage. When you're at war, you fight a battle on multiple battle fronts so you can come at the enemy from many different sides and it's even better if you can somehow infiltrate your enemy and in this case that's exactly what the Justice Democrats and Our Revolution are trying to do by fighting the establishment Democrats in their own primaries and winning over all of their voters. Heck it's what Bernie was trying to do back in 2016 and he almost succeeded winning the presidency. I 100% agree with Kyle Kulinski on his views of all this, and I don't see why Jimmy doesn't just at least acknowledge the fact that it's a good thing that Cortez forced out the number 4 Democrat in the House that was going to become the new Pelosi. He says "These wins are meaningless". Even if he still thinks his new party idea he's been floating for 2 years now is the best way forward, he should at least support progressives on all fronts because we all want the same thing. Just my opinion.

Cortez is a Democrat buddy, and about as progressive as it gets. The revolution within the Democratic Party has already begun and it's going to end with every single corporate Democrat being expelled from its ranks by 2024 or 2026.
