And Jimmy Dore proves he's a smear merchant and useful idiot for the establishment. He's joining in with CNN, Politico and Fox News in smearing Ocasio-Cortez. Jake Tapper just ambushed her with a bullshit "$40 Trillion" and claiming Medicare-for-All costs $32 Trillion and then Jimmy uses that same interview to smear her on a slightly 'pro-Democratic' thing she said and claims "She endorsed Cuomo" even though she did no such thing and she's been campaigning for Cynthia Nixon AGAINST Cuomo for MONTHS. This is so fucking pathetic.

He's the poorest person in the Senate you twat. It doesn't matter either way though and he has TWO homes for the record. You are pathetic.
4
You have a Republican symbol as your profile pic, I highly doubt you ever voted for a Democrat. Most people here were going to vote 3rd party anyway, but it's funny that Trump supporters come to this page to try to tell people to not vote or to vote Trump or 3rd party. Stop being a disingenuous piece of shit, nobody cares what you think either way.

This is fucking pathetic Jimmy. Now Andrew Gillum and Ocasio-Cortez can get smeared by CNN, Politico and Jimmy Dore has now joined in.
3
Well it's official, Jimmy Dore is now a smear merchant for the establishment.
3
+GenXer Vee - Gillum isn't a Justice Democrat. AOC is right on ALL the policies and cares about the people. Claiming she sold out because of 9 seconds on CNN is beyond retarded.
2
+GenXer Vee - "They get money from special interests. You're being misled." And you're full of shit. They take pledges to NOT take corporate PAC money and their platform has to align with the Justice Democrats base platform with Medicare for All, free college, etc. You have no idea what you're talking about and just pulling words out of your ass.
2
So everyone else in Independent progressive media has done a story about this interview and how Jake Tapper dishonestly smeared her with a made-up "$40 Trillion" number he pulled out of his ass. Everyone else has defended her and gone after Jake Tapper's bullshit, but apparently Jimmy decided to add an entirely new smear onto Jake Tapper's.
2
Jimmy that's NOT a fucking endorsement you Dumbass. She said something slightly 'pro-Democrat' on CNN while Jake Tapper is smearing her on Medicare-for-All and progressive policy and you decide to use that to SMEAR her? You're just as bad as CNN and Politico you piece of garbage.
2
"You gave her so much air time before". He interviewed her once on the show a year before her primary.
2
Yes because taking a video with another politician apparently is the equivalent of committing career suicide. Go vote for Ron DeSantis you dumbass. You people must have absolutely no wish for progressive policy and Medicare-for-All. Gillum was literally just on CNN defending Medicare-for-All from those smear merchants like Dana Bash.
2
And Jimmy's wrong as usual. We're not fucked and progressives within the Democratic party have been making historic wins. You want a 9 second clip of AOC on CNN to discredit all the gains we've made? This is beyond stupid.
2
Wow I didn't know that, thanks. Him and Kamala Harris are the two biggest smarmy 2020 hopefuls I feel like. They both literally made a weasel words promise to stop taking corporate PAC money this past year in a specific way so they could get out of it later after their 2020 campaigns.

+Mr Reich - Gillum is still miles apart from Cory Booker. When did we start judging people based on their friends?
1
Andrew Cuomo says "Progressive movement in the Democratic Party is less than a ripple" so then your plan is to then basically say the exact same thing and prove him right? You and Jimmy are giving Andrew Cuomo exactly what he wants smh.
1
+TheSorcererLord - I agree. Jimmy's "new party" idea is the weakest strategy overall. The Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, and PCCC have made historical gains this primary season, and he completely ignores the fact that if you're going to go 3rd party at all, you might as well go Green because they at least have 48 state ballot access and some power at the state level, which took them decades to get. Starting a new party is not easy and Dore makes it out to be this simple fucking process that would catch on immediately. Every 3rd Party member KNOWS that it's harder to run 3rd party, but at least go Green if that's your goal so you have some chance. This is how you know Dore's "new party" idea is total shit and not meant to be serious. I have never seen him address these basic issues with his idea.

She didn't endorse him. She said something 'pro-Democrat' and Jimmy twists it to claim she formally "endorses" Cuomo after she spent MONTHS campaigning AGAINST him for Cynthia Nixon. This is fucking pathetic. She's getting smeared by CNN, Politico and now Jimmy Dore. He truly is a useful idiot for the establishment.
1
Cortez has done more for the progressive movement in a year than Jimmy has done his whole life. He just bitches about someone saying something even slightly 'pro-Democratic' and then smears her even though she didn't even "endorse" him. Cortez campaigned for Cynthia Nixon for MONTHS against Andrew Cuomo. Wtf did Jimmy do to get rid of Cuomo? Jack shit.
1
Yes because literally nothing else they do matters to you and people like Jimmy who only cares about if they're helping or hurting the Democratic Party. Her policy doesn't matter or anything. Btw what he showed is NOT an "endorsement". What misleading horse shit.
1
It already is. Justice Democrats have won a third of their races, Our Revolution have won a third of their races, PCCC have done even better and won 3/4 of their races. Does AOC's 9 second comment on CNN mean that all the other 25 Justice Democrats should just be abandoned? All the Our Revolution and PCCC candidates? These comments are ridiculous and just self-destructive to the progressive movement if you actually care about policy and want things like Medicare-for-All within our lifetimes.

+Will Moffett - My views align with Kyle Kulinski's on this. Kyle was cautious of Gillum since the beginning because he said he supported Hillary over Bernie in the primary, but Bernie is a nice enough guy that he turned around and extended a hand to Gillum to get him to come over to the right policies. This Cory Booker thing doesn't necessarily mean Gillum is sold out, it just means he still has a streak of corporatism in him that people need to be cautious of. As long as he continues to support the right policies like Medicare-for-All he is the best option especially vs Ron DeSantis who is a mini-me of Trump. Gillum has talked about, defended, and actively supported a strategy for Medicare for All for Florida far more than the 1 or 2 times he made people nervous that he was getting ready to change his position on healthcare (which he didn't). People are quick to judge nowadays, but personally, I don't think you can cross someone off as a 'sell out' unless they actually do change those policy positions that gained them support in the first place. On the issue of Ocasio-Cortez though, I disagree with Jimmy entirely, because she actually believes those policies entirely and has taken a pledge to not take corporate PAC money and to run her campaign and office based on the Justice Democrat platform. Even if you disagree with her 9 second clip on CNN where she threw support behind all Democrats including Cuomo 'going forward' (most people do), that doesn't make her a 'sell out' because she's right on all those policies and actually represents the people.

Will Moffett - The thing is though that Obama never publicly backed Medicare-for-All. He used weasel words to just make it seem like he was for a public option. Believe it or not, it was actually Hillary who backed Single Payer and she lost, which is likely why she didn't openly run on it in 2016 because she wanted to be more "centrist" and she thought that would help her win (HA). Also, Obama was never endorsed and supported by a group like Our Revolution where the candidates and politicians need to keep a Berniecrat base platform to remain members and this includes Medicare-for-All. I'm not saying Gillum or others won't ever betray their original platform because anything is possible with politicians (especially Gillum who backed Hillary in the 2016 primary and people have been skeptical of since the beginning), but I'm just saying these things are not the same and the candidates who are running on Medicare-for-All are giving full throat support of these policies, not just running on platitudes like "Everyone should have healthcare". There is a difference, and it's why the progressive movement is working right now. The fact that these politicians do not take corporate PAC money as well means that there is a far less chance that they ever have this corrupting influence and in addition they would lose their membership to Justice Democrats or Our Revolution, which, in this political environment, basically means you're committing career suicide and losing your entire base.
