Yeah this country has been becoming a shithole thanks to corruption at the highest level due to Big Pharma, the Fossil Fuel Industry, the blood sucking private insurance markets, and many other corporate interests that want to bleed its citizens dry, but as soon as they have to pay even the slightest in taxes they take off to another country where they pay nothing, because that's how loyal those corporations are to America.

  2. They're not necessarily scams. The one in the video was. Most of them are just really shitty and don't work. The actual success rate of rehabs is most likely around 20% average if I had to guess. This is why addiction treatment and health insurance should NOT be privatized. There is a fucking epidemic in this country and the only thing the private insurers care about is how to bleed you dry of all your cash.

  3. If you wanna get off your substance you're addicted to. Do what I did more than 5 years ago now. Figure out a good one to two weeks when you won't have to work or take your vacation days. Have a good friend lock you in your house and take away your keys and leave you with plenty of food and medicine (over the counter) that will help you get through your situation. Once you get through withdraws in a few days whether it's alcohol, opiods, etc. have your friend pick you up and take you over to a doctor for outpatient treatment that preferably takes your insurance. They will give you real help such as the medicine you need and counseling to keep you sane during the transition. This process worked for me after 2 years of trying to get off my addiction and ever since I have been totally clean since. Oh and also delete any people in your phone or contacts list who encourages your habit, whether it's a drinking buddy, a girlfriend/boyfriend that keeps you stressed and on edge, or if it's especially a dealer. When I did this, I even went the extra mile to block myself from ever seeing my phone bill again, because I figured I would try to go through the thousands of numbers I've called on my bills to try to find the person who boosts your addiction. If you're poison is alcohol though, you're going to have to be extra strong and focused to quit because unfortunately it's everywhere on every corner store, so that makes it almost harder to quit drinking than doing street drugs.
