When Trump says "America will never be a Socialist country", it's just one big strawman since Bernie and AOC are literally talking about the Scandinavian model. It's Trump and conservatives who constantly say "Venezuela", just to give a Leftist strawman so they can pretend to knock it down as if that's what Bernie and AOC were saying the entire time. If you can't see through that, then that's your own problem.

  3.  @superawesomejeff  It's not my problem if you can't make the distinction yourself. Bernie's platform is clearly on the Social Democracy side of "Democratic Socialism", a term that has become much more broad in the last decade to include forms of Social Democracy in the technical sense. Labels change over time in culture whether you want to accept that or not. What should matter is Bernie and AOC's policies, and these policies encapsulate a Capitalist system with strict regulations, higher marginal tax rates on the wealthy, and more FDR-style Social Democratic programs such as Single Payer healthcare, a program first introduced by FDR and then Harry Truman. The only policy that is slightly "Socialist" is a bill that gives workers a greater say in their company on the board of directors and gives them more stock in the company by law. A policy that has very high approval and is not even seen as being "Socialist" by the media. America is just clueless when it comes to any of these concepts, and a conservative in Norway would likely be considered a "far left crazy" in America.
