@jacobr5627 From what I've read about it, it was a specific circumstance with her race & how Democratic insiders actually worked with Republicans in Nebraska to sabotage her. Also, the fact that there was 0 enthusiasm for Joe Biden & the Democratic ticket, it didn't lead to the "down ballot victories" in swing states like neoliberals thought it would if they put Biden on the ticket. In comparison, Katie Porter didn't have the same issues with corporate Democrats & she managed to flip a district that had been Red for decades by running on Medicare for All & other leftist policies.

@jacobr5627 The corporate Democrats that lost to her were literally endorsing her Republican opponent. The DCCC pulled backing & funding from her & were telling donors behind the scenes to not give her funding. @jacobr5627 In terms of why the Democrats (overall) failed on messaging though & why countless people voted for Biden & then would vote for their local Republican House or Senate members (even Susan Collins in Maine won), that's kinda simple to explain. Biden & his team were embracing Republicans like John Kasich & constantly talking about how Republicans would return to civility after Trump. They basically gave voters an out for why it's 'okay' to vote for local Republicans. Biden & Dems refused to connect the GOP to Donald Trump & say "This person running in your district agrees with Trump & is basically a mini-Donald Trump!" Instead, they gave Republicans major speaking spots at the National Convention & wholly embraced them despite their disastrous policies that are totally aligned with Trump. Now, those same conservative Democrats are reflecting blame onto the Left (despite progressives not being on the ticket at all & Biden constantly rejecting the Left's ideology nonstop) & the Democratic leadership are going to learn all the wrong lessons from this election & we'll likely have another Donald Trump 2.0 (or Trump himself) win in 2024 again if they do & don't course correct.
