People should've been skeptical as soon as she decided to run against Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Dem Primary. Most people just speculated "Oh it's cause she there to help Bernie", but it was clear after the first debate she was there to defend Joe Biden, which she did on numerous occasions, even on the Iraq War.

@levinskevich2180 Bernie narrowly won the 2016 election, he was in the perfect position to win in 2020 as the spokesman for the Left. You act as if these teams decide to run a campaign the day they announce, when in reality Tulsi was present at the Our Revolution meetings months in advance in 2018. Even if you still dismiss those facts, it doesn't account for WHY Tulsi Gabbard stayed in the race when she was getting 1-2% of the vote even after the neoliberals had coalesced against Bernie & then endorsed Joe fucking Biden despite previously being one of the inner circle members of Our Revolution & pretending to take a stand against interventionism, when Joe Biden was the most hawkish person running the Dem primary. It hurts my brain listening to people defend this shit.

Joe Cilley Rand Paul also has many good votes, it doesn't mean he's wrong on a multitude of issues & absolutely shouldn't be trusted to uphold his principles, which he's betrayed time & time again, same as Tulsi. Your comment is extremely naive at best.

Joe Cilley I know this might surprise you, but not everyone bemoans candidates for backing someone different in the general election they might not agree with, especially when their opponent is Donald Trump. The difference is that Tulsi endorsed Joe Biden in primary when she had the option to endorse literally anyone else running who was better than Biden (except Bloomberg), who was outwardly telling people he wouldn't end the wars or interventionism, while other candidates WERE. I know things like context & nuance are probably difficult for you to grasp, but maybe you should give it a shot for once.

@kristin4840 To be fair, Bernie is backing Biden in the general election because the alternative is Trump & he strongly believes Trump is a threat to Democracy itself. In terms of Tulsi, she backed Joe Biden in the primary when the alternative was someone who would end the wars, move us towards Universal Healthcare, & try to fix the rampant levels of income inequality. It's a false equivalency to act like those two endorsements are anywhere near close to the same thing (I don't think you meant it that way, but I just thought I'd clarify all the same).

A conservative in Democratic clothes wouldn't have endorsed Joe Biden in the Dem primary. She's just a neoliberal conservative hybrid in progressive clothes.
