Based on what happened in 2016 & how that election played out, that's likely his plan, also he literally says as much in this clip. If Biden & Kamala lose in November, I'm sure they'll be doing the same toxic bullshit to Bernie that Hillary currently does, where we'll hear from Kamala or Biden every 3 months talking shit about Bernie despite him being even more cooperative this general election than in 2016.

@gugy68 Yeah Jimmy was against Bernie in 2020 & when his candidate Tulsi endorsed Joe Biden in the primary, Jimmy pulled a Jason Johnson & tried to claim it was Bernie's fault.

@gugy68 While I originally agreed with you and many other Bernie supporters that Bernie needed to get more concrete concessions from the Biden campaign before endorsing him, I've come to terms with the more realistic truth that we are literally never going to get anything from neoliberals that they don't authorize themselves once in office or getting the okay from their donors first. The truth is that even their current positions get watered down to be more conservative once they govern. Biden will tell us he's open to a public option in the primary, but once he gets into office that will become "improving on Obamacare over a 10 year period" (despite being in a pandemic). In 2016, Bernie got Hillary to move her position on TPP & Permanent Normal Trade Relations with China, but if she had taken office, you can bet she would've flipped on that "concession" if it suited her. At this point, I've been convinced that we need to just force them out. It's become (or it's always been) All or Nothing in these primaries. We need to force them out or even their slightly progressive positions or any concessions made to the Bernie wing will just turn into conservative governance in the Oval Office. The same goes for the DNC, you need a Bernie Sanders or some other fully committed populist candidate to WIN the primary and flush out the current DNC & replace the organization with people that agree with the majority of Americans on Healthcare & social programs.
