@fshoaps I'm not even a communist, but I definitely agree with you. Both DeBlasio & Yang are corporatists. DeBlasio too often buckles to the status quo, while Yang is perfectly fine with ruling over an oligarchy where everyone gets an allowance instead of social programs. I can see why communists would dislike Yang, he's said numerous times that he sees no issue with monopolies & duopolies like Amazon & Walmart & has zero desires to regulate them or break them up. As I said, I'm not even a communist & I find that utterly indefensible considering the current state of the economy/oligarchy & the ridiculous levels of wealth inequality.

Bloomberg is popular on Wall Street & Wine Caves. DeBlasio is mayor right now because New York is incredibly Leftist.

@JM-nt5ex Yang is very much a corporatist. It's incredibly clear the guy is pro-corporations & even pro-monopolies. He's been asked about his feelings towards monopolies & duopolies such as Amazon & Walmart - Yang has said he has no desire to regulate them nor break them up (which is what's really needed). I followed the presidential election closely & I never heard him say one negative word about the oligarchy. As far as I can tell, he's perfectly fine with ruling over an oligarchy where people receive monthly gov't allowances instead of social programs & "entitlements". In fact, if you look closely at Yang's proposed plans for sunset regulations, he's actually for a sly version of deregulating Wall Street & the banks. That is the epitome of being a corporatist.

He'd have a lot more support if his plan was to knock off someone terrible like Cuomo or the numerous neoliberals in Congress. DeBlasio buckles to the status quo too much, but he's still a leftist & probably the best Mayor New York has had in many decades.
