  1. People should also be aware that he voted WITH Mitch McConnell to move past the Stimulus Bill & move to the vote on the Defense Bill, basically killing the Stimulus Checks for good. In fact there were only 5 Democrats & 5 Republicans that voted with Bernie to try to corner McConnell & force the Stimulus vote (excluding Bernie himself who is an Independent). In other words, the number of Republicans that are willing to do the right thing is the same number as the number of Democrats that have a backbone. This is an issue that is 78-88% supported by the American people! Only 9% of Americans oppose the Stimulus Checks!

  2. People should be aware that Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer, Kamala Harris, & ALL the neoliberals ended up voting WITH McConnell to move past the stimulus & to the vote on the Defense Budget, basically killing the checks for GOOD!

  3. That's great Dick Durbin, but WHY did you vote to skip the vote & move to the vote on the Defense Budget. That was your ONE piece of leverage to get the vote done & only Bernie, 5 Republicans, & only 5 Democrats voted to force the Senate vote ultimately!

It's good Dick Durbin is willing to attack McConnell on the floor, however he still FAILED to work with the bipartisan coalition (Bernie, Hawley, Markey, Rubio, etc) who were trying to force McConnell to allow the vote in the Senate by delaying the Defense Budget. Dick Durbin voted with McConnell to move past the Stimulus Bill & vote on the Defense bill.
