The guy's allowed to be sad about his city getting shot up, doesn't mean he should be anywhere near close to the presidency. As a candidate, he's still (and always will be) utter garbage.

Also, if Beto actually cared about his state, he would be running for John Cornyn's seat in the Senate, instead he's running a pathetic campaign to be president and has been constantly polling between 2-4%.

Isn't it incredible when Republicans obfuscate to mental health to distract from implementing any sliver of common sense gun regulation. These guys pushed a healthcare bill that would've thrown 20 million people off their healthcare plans and Trump's efforts have already resulted in throwing 7-9 million people off their healthcare. They cry about how we need mental health, while simultaneously making it harder for anyone to get ANY type of treatment, especially mental health.

Guy should be running for Cornyn's seat in the Senate. He has no business running for president and he's more likely to just destroy his entire career with pandering in Spanish than actually get above 5% in the polls.

He should be running for John Cornyn's seat in the Senate (who is retiring). Instead, his ego is larger than the state of Texas and he's "just born to be in it".

The reason Beto should've run is because he would've won due to his name recognition from his Senate run against Cruz. Instead, he wants to just nosedive his political career in an already failed and pathetic run for president where he constantly embarrasses himself by clearly pandering in Spanish and standing on tables like some gimmicky motivational speaker.

@dozog I find it hilarious when people use Donald Trump as an excuse to lower the bar for president. Shouldn't we be trying to counter him with someone who isn't just running to feed their ego? Beto "I'm just born to be in it" O'Rourke who claims we can do anything in America, but compromises up-front on nearly every single policy his campaign proposes (the few that he has).
