  1. The source material is 1,000 levels above the cheap adaptation they made for the show. I never understand why writers always feel the need to adapt a show by making everything inferior in the adapted version (it's not like movies where they need to cram everything). The comics were already in perfect format for adaptation. My best guess is that they changed a ton of great concepts just to try to make the show safe for children or that wider Disney-approved audience, yet in the 2nd episode the villain throws a child in front of a subway train, so I have no idea wtf the writers were thinking about any of this period. Seriously though, read the comics. Best comic series I have ever read, and just recently I bought the audio drama so I could listen to their audio-recreation and follow along in the comics. First time I've ever consumed source material like that and it was a great idea.

  2. If you like the concept, read the comics. They're incredibly incredibly good. The show is a cheap adaptation in comparison.

  3. The villain was the biggest problem with the show by far. They didn't make her threatening or fearsome enough. For a lot of the season, she's kinda just clubbing and off having fun. She's supposed to be this creepy, evil force of nature that has a focused purpose on finding the Omega key.
