Yeah, and Dr. West vehemently supports Bernie Sanders, the real populist who will end corruption in Washington and give healthcare to all people as a right. Even if you're a Trump supporter, you should support Bernie on the other side of the aisle while he's trying to defeat neoliberal Democrats as an Independent in the Democratic primary.

@theQandA Their ideas are in response to desperation from the working class in America. When 3 families own more wealth than the bottom 50% of the country, it is only natural that people will want to look for ways to drastically change the system that has been rigged against them since the 1980s and made even worse under the neoliberal Clinton administration in the 1990s. Wages have been stagnant for 30 to 40 years now. Used to be that a woman could stay at home and one man's salary could sustain a family of four. Nowadays, the woman of the family needs to work and even with 2 providers in a household some families still can't get by without borrowing massive amounts of debt. The current system for the working class is unsustainable and people like Bernie and Cornel West are some of the only people offering real solutions. You might not agree with those solutions, but they ARE solutions nonetheless. The first step is guaranteeing all American citizens have healthcare as a right, that is Bernie's main policy in his platform. If you want to consider that Socialism, then that's up to you, but for most of his supporters (even ones that are on the Right) they just want healthcare for their families and stronger unions so employers cannot easily ship jobs overseas without consequences.
