Yeah, it's like the Meta of robotics development. 2022 has not been a kind year for innovation

The idea of making Tesla AI computers into robots is hilarious considering they have some of the worst auto-parking and auto-driving AI among any luxury car company

@strategicthinker8899 No offense, but this sounds like some major cope. People have no more patience for things like "potential", because the last time Tesla promised a big idea with the Hyperloop, it turned into a literal one-way tunnel for cars to drive down. Meta also has "potential", but that doesn't mean it will be around in 10 years to reach any sort of actual real-world application that benefits society.

@Kickin_bears Exactly, replacement of labor should be a good thing, but because we live in a top-down economic system, all the rewards go to wealthy shareholders, while the peasants worry about not being able to feed their families because daddy got replaced at the factory.

@secretservice1816 It's the "world's most hyped and valued company" because they do stuff like this where they make wild promises and over time the delivery of those promises look worse and worse until you're just looking at a 'hyperloop' that's a one-way tunnel for cars. Musk is like the Peter Molyneux of Tech Innovation, except way way worse

@billi5820 Tesla Hyperloop was a prototype too and we all know how that turned out. Showing off their extremely unfinished prototype here is very possibly a thumbs up to just scrap the project in a year or so (robotics aren't exactly a lucrative business and require massive funding). Not saying it will happen for sure, but I won't be surprised if we never hear anything about the Tesla-bot ever again.
