  2. To be fair, I did skip your intro where you said they might be reasons some people may not want to move there and skipped straight to your 10 reasons. However, you obviously have issue with the reasons you mentioned by your tone (about not wanting to see old ladies rip bongs and not wanting to see naked people that weren't beach supermodels) and Portland itself considering you gave 10 reasons not to move there and another video with only 5 reasons why people should move there. I honestly thought some of your "reasons" not to move to Portland on this video were better "reasons" for the other list than most of the ones you listed on your Top 5 reasons to move to Portland. I don't want to get into a huge debate with you on marijuana, but it is arguably a huge reason a lot of people might want to move there both for recreational purposes but also for business opportunity, employment, and the overall weed culture. It has boosted the economy and slashed the unemployment rate in Oregon and instead of giving these as counterarguments or placing them in your Top 5 list to move to Portland, you only give examples of people not wanting to see your grandma take a bong rip. Same thing goes with nudity. Instead of mentioning that the relaxed view of nudity in Portland parallels that of Europe and shows that the people here have open minds towards the US's usual demonizing views towards nudity, you just state that people wouldn't want to see it because the average person is not a Sport's Illustrated supermodel and you stereotype the women as "unshaven" and "doughy". I'm sure a lot of conservative type people would agree with your reasons though, such as the people in the comment section saying Portland is a "liberal cesspool" and such. For the most part though, I think your "top reasons" videos misrepresented Portland with the exception of the homeless and rain, which I have to admit there's a lot of homeless and rain. Although, if it didn't rain so much here, it wouldn't be so green and beautiful.

  3. What are you talking about? Oregon has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country right now. It is in the top 15 states with lowest employment rates right now. Oregon is at 3.8% as of April. The unemployment rate was at about 10% at the end of 2010 and has dropped by a few percentage points each year since going from 10%, 9.1%, 8.1%, 7.3%, 5.9%, 5.1%, at the end of 2016 it was at 4.5%, 4% in March 2017, and now it is at 3.8% currently. It's going to get to the point where the only unemployed people in the state and in Portland are the homeless that live in tent city. Portland's unemployment rate is even lower than the state's and is at 3.4% currently.

  4. We need to trick the homeless into migrating to Idaho or Montana or something. Also isn't it a little weird that homeless always live in cities? It just puts them in awful living conditions with no space in cardboard tents and is sort of degrading on top of everything else. I feel like if I was homeless, I would want to live in the rural country. They wouldn't be able to panhandle as well anymore, but at least they'd be able to live better out there. Here's another thought. What if they made a city in the middle of the United States just for the homeless. Every single hobo in the country could migrate there. It would likely end up being made out of cardboard and tarps and then everyone in the US could donate online to the city's hobo government for donations to keep the homeless there so they don't come back to any of the other cities. The donations will be used a substitution for their usual panhandling.

  5. YES!!! THESE should be the reasons in the video! Your reasons are 100% accurate. The bikers thinking they own the road and the snow plow problem are the WORST. You can't even compare those frustrations to seeing an "unshaven naked woman" (according to Briggs Channel in the video). Let's see, look at a naked woman with some leg hair or almost die on the snowy highway, which hasn't been plowed for 3 days. The snow was especially bad this year and they don't plow or salt it because they don't want the salt to hurt the earth (also they don't even have any plows because it barely snows in Portland).

  6. Those are GREAT reasons in my opinion. This guy in the video is fucking milk toast and can't handle nudity, weed, and all the other great stuff it has to offer. But that's good because we don't want assholes who can't stand nudity and weed living here. The only real problems I see are the homeless and real estate, but those are problems in every city. I live in Happy Valley which is only about 15 minutes from downtown and it's way relaxed out here. Real estate is fine, absolutely no homeless, and it's beautiful. This guy sounds like he'd enjoy Saudi Arabia. No nudity, no weed, no rain, no volcanoes, and they just kill you if you protest.

If you had ever smoked weed or known anyone that has, you would know that people can have really successful careers and lives even if they smoke 24/7. If you were really in the health services and medical industry, you would know the reality that marijuana helps an overwhelming amount of people with countless types of physical diseases and you should know, *since you're in mental health services*, that it also seriously helps people with depression, bipolar disorders, *PTSD*, you name it. You are either lying and have nothing to do with the mental health industry, or you are the worst medical practitioner alive (or in Samoa, not sure how things are done in Samoa). We don't demonize people here in Oregon, though, for wanting to live their life in a healthier state of mind and/or body if they have some type of physical condition such as chronic pain. Although, I'm sure you would rather just prescribe Oxycontin since you sound like a shit director of mental health services. By the way, being Samoan isn't a valid excuse for being obese. You sound like the worst therapist in the world.

Portland is in the top 20 highest economy cities in the USA with a GDP that equals more the entire country of the Czech Republic. It has one of the most thriving tech centers in the country known as "Silicon Forest" spanning from the districts Beaverton to Hillboro that hosts Intel, IBM, Nike, Infosys, Hewlett Packard, Xerox, and many many more including large branches of Yahoo!, Google, eBay, and Apple. Portland grows larger and larger every year because it knows how to adapt to the future which cannot be said for many cities located in the heart of conservative America. So yeah, Portland is doing just fine, and naive dumb-asses like yourself who think Portland is just made up of "stoner SJWs" who need their "hands held" can go suck a fat one and pray to your lord Trump who, if you ask nicely, might just bring back a few coal jobs in your town if you let him shove his orange dick down your throat.

  11. I had the same thing happen in Phoenix, Arizona 2 years ago. Cracked my oil pan, transmission and completely totaled my car to the point where it was going to be twice the car's worth to fix it. Then you can't do anything except send an angry letter to your city government and possibly a lawsuit in small claims court that you would never see the end of in sight.

  13. It wasn't really an official slogan for the city until later though and wasn't trademarked until around the time Portland made it there official slogan in 2003. Louisville, Beach City and Indianapolis also took the slogan way later after Austin and Portland both had it for awhile.

  16. Fuck it, you should just move to Kansas. They were just able to carry out their hardcore conservative agenda over the past 5 years with Governor Sam Brownback at the head of the shit storm. He lowered the fuck out of taxes so the richest people in the state could save millions and now they have a build-up of over a 4.4 billion $ deficit over just 5 years and just for the state of Kansas. They had to cut millions from public schools, government infrastructure projects, and many more state funded programs. Kansas is in absolute ruins right now, and it is exactly what happens when conservatives can carry out their agenda with no liberal interference. Oregon, Washington and California are doing just fine (California has the sixth largest economy in the world right after the UK) without Republicans fucking up the government and living status for citizens with their disease-ridden policies.

That's not how the Bureau of Labor calculates the unemployment rates in states. They survey the population and a lot of it is guess work, but they try to find an average that has a decent margin of error. If they went out and interviewed everyone in the population, it would cost a ton of tax payer money.
