@TCt83067695 Wow wth, she's doing a week of fundraising on Wall Street. It says that it has to do with an infrastructure plan they could make huge profits off of, but that's incredibly shady considering she has a bad history with PAC money. I also just found out the other day she voted for Donald Trump's last military budget increase for 2019. Both Warren and Tulsi voted to increase the military.

@tammywilson1638 It also just completely defeats the purpose of running a grassroots campaign in the primary. You're signaling to your supporters that you're only willing to refuse big donor money when its politically convenient for you and that the entire embodiment of your grassroots campaign in the primary is just a hollow facade from the start. There are other 2020 candidates who genuinely believe that their grassroots support is all that is required to run a successful bid for president and genuinely want to lead by example so it becomes the new norm in the country. Warren does not see the bigger picture and her strategists are complete idiots it seems to me.

@ms.dirtybird7779 I only noticed it accidentally when I was reading an article talking about how all the 2020 candidates voted for Trump's military budget increases. I had not even heard one peep about it either, but I looked up exactly which increase it was, it was the one for 2019 that was passed in December 2018 that passed both the House and the Senate, so just the most recent one that increased the budget to $717 Billion. Somebody was arguing in a comment section that she only did it because it had some benefit for women in it or something, but I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure if that was the case or not. I couldn't find any article or info on her exact reasoning, that person might've just been speculating based on what was in the bill. Here's the article/chart where I originally noticed it and gives all the information on all the 2020 candidates (Warren voted for it every year except the last one). https://vetsforbernie.org/2019/04/bernie-sanders-only-candidate-to-vote-against-all-3-trump-military-budgets/

They both address the problem. Income taxes stop the problem from getting larger. If you had 90% on all income over 10 million, you better believe that would massively help reduce income inequality.

Not to mention top marginal income taxes are much more likely to pass in Congress than a wealth tax. I'm almost certain there has never actually been a wealth tax in America and with a Supreme Court that now leans Republican, they can rule against a wealth tax and call it unconstitutional, something a Left leaning court would likely not do (Maybe). Top marginal income taxes taxes have been common throughout American history, so as I said a wealth tax is much harder to pass and ensure the courts do not shoot it down.

@Unclejamsarmy Tax scholars have been arguing over whether it is unconstitutional or not. The United States Constitution prohibits any federal direct tax on asset holdings (as opposed to income tax or capital gains tax) unless the revenue collected is apportioned among the states on the basis of their population. It all depends on how Article 1, Sections 2 and 9 of the United States Constitution are interpreted. With a right-leaning court, there is a pretty big question whether a wealth tax would just get slapped down by Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and John Roberts. A top marginal tax rate, a tax on Wall Street speculation trading, and a capital gains tax are all ways of taxing the 1% that would not have this legal battle behind the scenes.

@szz6624 Are you talking to me? TD2943 didn't even say Bernie's name, they could be for Yang or Tulsi for all you know. And why the hell are you basing your "appeal" of Bernie or any candidate on what someone says about other politicians or the Democratic field in general? Why don't you actually watch Bernie's interviews or rallies directly instead of making your decision on a Youtube comment that's not even about him.

@Fanatism What issue? They differ on a lot of things. Bernie is undeniably better on healthcare and Medicare for All, while Warren has been leaning more towards a public option lately and said that private insurers should stay in the system even though they're the core part of the problem.
