I don't think at all that Trump is Putin's "puppet" even though they seem to have had a strange relationship in the past, I still think that Trump taking the hard line stance was still a political move though just like how he fired Andrew McCabe 2 days before he was supposed to retire. He probably thinks taking a hard stance on Russia will make his investigation start to go away or something. He's dumb enough to think so. Why else would he do it honestly? Because in the last year he was literally talking about plans to create a Cyber police force WITH Russia. How the fuck do you go from that to this. It just doesn't seem like a natural move on Trump's part. I think that's how most people are thinking about it. Trump doesn't just do something because he think's its all of sudden the right thing to do. Literally everything he does is centered around himself and that includes making presidential actions to defend himself such asssss... Firing James Comey.
