  1. It's more than just the hypocrisy angle Kyle. Those GOP tax cuts added to the debt more than anything and are what is making the debt skyrocket. The Republicans and the Ben Shapiros can whine about entitlements all day long, but any idiot can see what is actually making the debt balloon.

I don't think it's as much that they're "giving in to the right-wing framing", I think those people who oppose it are serious about wanting to cut back on the tax cuts, increase in military budget, the potential Wall, and all the other crap Trump's done to add to the deficit that has absolutely nothing to do with entitlements (even though that's likely what they would want to cut). What exactly has Trump added to the deficit that actually helped American workers so far?

  3.  @AthosJosue  He did, but he also said anyone who was giving Trump a hard time over this was "giving into the right-wing framing", which I just don't agree with. Even if you understand modern monetary theory, there is still a perceivable limit the government can raise the debt by that is considered to be politically correct without getting huge political backlash just as Trump is receiving now in a bipartisan way. The people on the Left who are opposing Trump on this are simply pissed that the Trump administration spent their (politically allowable) increases in the debt on things like a $2 Trillion tax cut that only helps to destroy the economy in the long run along with massive increases in the military budget when the Pentagon can't even account for $21 Trillion over the past few decades. There is a reasonable Leftist position to say "You shouldn't balloon the debt over useless shit that's not going to help the American people". It's partly because of the hypocrisy, but it's also the same reason to get mad when you give your roommate money for an entire months worth of groceries, but he comes back with a sex blowup doll. What the Trump administration did with our taxpayer money is even worse than that.
