Comments by "" (@thehumanity0) on "CNN Host Thinks Andrew Yang Is A Crypto White Nationalist" video.
Yeah any actual leftist critiques of Yang have absolutely fuckall to do with "bigotry" or "white nationalism". The media is simply incapable of making criticisms that aren't just hacky surface level smears.

Yang is far from the perfect candidate. The critiques Kyle mentioned are only the frosting on the cake.

There are many issues with the proposed ways of paying for Yang's UBI, not only the problems with cutting social programs or giving people "an option", but also the VAT has the potential to be a regressive tax that could be applied to small business owners based on who exactly is deciding the limitations for what applies as "luxury goods". I support the concept of UBI, just not Yang's UBI. There are too many problems with it and the least we should do is run a social experiment in America like Finland to see the effects of a proposed plan on our economy that massively differs from Finland's.

@colind1637 Yang is planning on keeping private insurers in the equation. As Kyle stated, he just said it in that same town hall. A "phased rollout of public healthcare and squeezing private insurance out of the marketplace" is exactly what Bernie is proposing and what Medicare for All is. Medicare for All is implemented over several years and removes private insurers in phases, yet keeps supplemental insurance for anyone who wants it. As far as I can tell, Bernie is now the ONLY one who is planning on getting rid of private insurers.

@GreenPartyHat I also wasn't fully aware of his specific stance on taxes (outside of the VAT), but today I saw a video on Fox Business where he stated that a Wealth tax is a bad idea. The guy is against wealth taxes and top marginal tax rates for a progressive tax system, probably the only policies and reforms that would lead to fixing the colossal amounts of wealth inequality in this country. Add this to the critiques Kyle explained in this video, and there's now even more reasons to bump Yang off your 2020 list.

@DyeJoeBlue Fox only "did nothing to Bernie" because he completely disarmed their hacky talking points. CNN is just better at smear jobs than Fox especially in preparation of the Democratic primary.

The issues in Andrew Yang's platform have absolutely fuckall to do with bigotry or "white nationalism". It has to do with the way he plans on paying for UBI and how it would most likely not help to fix the gross levels of class inequality in America.

Andrew Yang only supports a public option and keeps private insurers in control. His UBI bill only even sounds enticing when you can couple it with Medicare for All otherwise people's $1,000 allowance will be completely drained by medical bills.

I also heard just the other week that Tulsi is now in the camp of "Medicare for All but with private insurers". It seems like literally no one is for Medicare for All now except Bernie Sanders.

Both Bernie and Tulsi are far better than Andrew Yang and the rest when Yang has the same stance on healthcare as Elizabeth Warren and the corporate Democrats. I'll remind everyone that 32,000 to 45,000 people die every year from lack of healthcare. This should be the biggest priority out of any policy.

As others have stated, he's far from the "most progressive" candidate. His stance on healthcare alone trumps that claim.
