  2. What's even worse about our history on using the Nukes is that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were completely unnecessary. Harry Truman dropped the bombs primarily just to show off the US's "new weapon" to try to strong-arm the USSR into better post-war negotiations for the US and simply just because some generals saw the USSR as the real threat to the US.
