  1. Lol you made an amazing outside-the-box point, so now people are belittling you as a 'hippie'. The current system and society is the real joke and when people can't see the reality of the point you just made, it proves that most people are just brainwashed little worker ants that can't see past the bullshit society has put into there heads from birth. You're right, we have all the resources, materials, manpower, and energy as a nation to get nearly anything done, but our corrupt oligarchy and monetary constraints ensures that we all just sit around on our hands waiting for a fake imaginary market to have an upwards turn. FDR saw this and it's why he created the New Deal to break America out of its funk in the Great Depression. He essentially slapped America across the face and told it to "snap out of it" and then the entire country got to work rebuilding this country to kick-start the Golden Age that built what the country is today. This country could work on 100% renewable energy by the end of the year if people just started working on it today, and unless this mindset changes in future generations, the human race will eventually kill itself through its own ignorance because climate conditions will be too drastic by that point to turn things back around.

  2. +conor smith - Exactly. Tariffs on goods that hurt American citizens more than anyone is NOT the way to fight outsourcing and bring back jobs. How about for starters they actually fix the tax code and ensure that Amazon cannot just make its fake headquarters in Luxembourg as a tax haven. Trump lost his trade war before it even began because he should've been focusing on ways to directly effect big corporations at the top instead of goods from the bottom, but we know he's never going to do that because he's a corrupt piece of garbage that gets paid by those companies and pretends to be "for the little guy" that only his die hard supporters actually believe.

The government is making the exact same mistakes they made back in 2007 by deregulating Wall Street and Banks and now those companies are doing the same shit they did that led to the subprime mortgage crisis by gambling with people's money and handing out loans that should NOT be given on sometimes $0 down-payments on people with terrible financial history. Not just that, but you can SEE the instability in the market by just noticing how the market has been extremely volatile this year since Trump's "tax cuts" to billionaires who we know now did not reinvest the majority of the savings back into their companies and used it for stock buybacks to inflate the market, which is why we had a gigantic crash back in February/March where it was the biggest single day stock market crash of all time. Show me fucking proof we're NOT in a bubble, because there are a million and one signs that another Recession is coming and Trump is essentially taking precautions to ensure it HAPPENS for sure, which is why he just fired financial experts in the government who are tasked with identifying and assessing market crash risks to stop another Recession.

What I hate the most is that Trump put huge tariffs on Solar Panels and Solar Cells that drastically dropped the amount of new projects and installations all over the US and led to thousands of jobs being lost. Your saying he did that for "American jobs"? He did that to protect his precious fossil fuel and coal industries.
