Democracy is saved, the American people are screwed no matter what, as usual. Now we put on our yellow vests come January & drive Biden & Kamala out of the White House.

@youregoddamnright The only reason Biden would be doing better than Bernie would be entirely because of seniors. It has nothing to do with "coalitions" or "stability", it's all because seniors dislike change & watch too much cable news. We've already seen from the primary that Bernie does far far better with younger people & wins over middle aged Americans more than Biden as well, it all just comes down to who votes more. Boomers have an advantage more in the primary than in the general, so it's possible Bernie would've had more support simply referring to those demographic differences alone, but AGAIN, Bernie would've harnessed the anger & stress of this moment in American history, something Biden has utterly failed at because he's not actually on the working class's side. This moment was made for Bernie & I think there's a very good chance Bernie could've harnessed it successfully to have a blowout against Trump even despite the boomers being incredibly ignorant & drunk on 1980s McCarthyism.

@youregoddamnright Trying to get the 1% of Republicans who are never Trumpers is a terrible strategy & Biden is lucky as hell Trump is making dangerous arguments & putting Democracy in jeopardy otherwise Biden would be losing the entire Left right now with his bullshit appeals to never-Trumpers over actual winnable Bernie voters & Independents. And no Biden hasn't harnessed this moment at all. Saying he's harnessed the moment by simply being "empathetic" & "reasonable" aka platitudes is not what I'm referring to at all. I'm talking about how Bernie would be criticizing the system that has failed them & forced people to live paycheck to paycheck & failed to give them any relief during this pandemic, not some flowery words about empathy. Bernie making up for his lack of older voters makes perfect sense because it's exactly the OPPOSITE for Biden when you looked at the polling. Biden had like no support among younger people & did worse among middle aged voters, how the fuck does that not make any sense to you?

@youregoddamnright Also, there is no "moving Biden left", he's already signaled to be a 1990s Republican on nearly every aspect. The best people can hope for is that he's pressured by mass protests & social unrest (maybe with yellow vests on) to give American people relief & healthcare, otherwise he needs to be removed ASAP so adults can be put in charge who will actually do something about Climate Change & the dying system that's in place now. Biden is literally just the status quo.

@francosamericanmusings1560 You talking about the person tweeting about Project Veritas videos & exacerbating the mail-in-ballot bullshit from Republicans that could potentially cause a constitutional crisis? Time to jump off the Tulsi train bud

@Tastypieinyourmouth It pains me to agree with you, but I think you might be right. I think Sanders would still be winning against Trump but it'd definitely be closer due to seniors being fucking braindead & scared of real change. He might've garnered enough overwhelming support among young people & middle aged Americans to bridge that gap (he'd definitely be doing better than Biden in those age groups), but older boomers are just too large of a voting block still, which is extremely unfortunate & likely the only reason Biden will win. I think Bernie would've been doing far far better than Clinton, but slightly less effective than Biden simply because of Biden's default boomer support.

@darryljones3009 This is true as well. Bernie might be more effective because he would've actually harnessed the stress & anxiety happening in the country right now & turned it against Trump. I'm really split on whether Bernie or Biden would be doing better right now, I guess we'll never know

@youregoddamnright Bernie would've been doing worse with seniors (who are hopeless), but the difference is that he would've actually harnessed the power of this moment & turned the anger & desperation in the country against Trump & the establishment, whereas Biden has only been sending out the occasional attack at Trump for mishandling COVID; Bernie would've been telling all workers the system is rigged against them & has been for years. I think it's genuinely a toss up for if Bernie would've been doing better than Biden, but based on the polling during the Dem primary, they were always relatively equal when against Trump. The difference is just that Bernie & his revolutionary politics was made for this moment of dire stress for America.

@537monster Firstly, people have been doing that. Second, Trump has no qualms about sending Homeland Security out to bash peaceful protesters & throw people into unmarked vans to send them to Guantanamo or wherever the fuck they took them & his supporters are big enough lunatics to cheer that on despite them getting fucked by the gov't right now just like everyone in the working class. If the protests continue under Biden, he'll have no choice but to respond to the social unrest since most people out in the streets are likely the Left & even some of his own voters. The cucked working class Trump supporters & Republicans might even join the protests once Biden becomes president & then there be a much better chance of doing a yellow vest march or general strike successfully.
