He's not saying he personally wants those things to be relevant. It's a conversation about the practical facts of politics and whether what progressives want is realistically the most effective way of achieving it. Sometimes you have to gauge those things especially in places like Florida where race was most definitely a factor in their elections. In terms of ideology Brookes is further Left than Kyle, who believes in Social Democracy, while Brookes idealistically is more in favor of fragments of pure-bred Socialism. Painting Brookes as some kind of 'neoliberal' because your misinterpreting what he's saying is foolish. I'll just add that I think Kyle is more correct on their small disagreement and the polling in the US shows that (even though there are some areas that are the exception to this rule like WV and Florida), but it's very clear they're talking about practical implications, not their favored ideology.

Jamarl Thomas is garbage. The guy trashes Bernie, Justice Democrats, and Noam Chomsky more than anyone I've ever seen and takes 50 minutes to get a point across that takes someone like Kyle 5 minutes.

War propaganda wtf? Also, yeah it's a shame he called out Jimmy Dore instead for his ACTUAL left punching on Bernie Sanders and the leaders of the progressive movement. Is it really "left punching" when you're criticizing someone else for their Left punching. I think you're confused about who's punching Left and for what reason.

The Dore fans are littered in this comment section and attacking Brookes for being a "moderate" when he's further Left on the spectrum than Kyle. The guy literally discusses Marxist theory on his channel. I don't watch him much at all and tend to agree with Kyle more, but the hate on him is just silly nonsense.

Also, it's funny you talk about voter shaming (which I don't agree with from Sam Seder), because Jimmy Dore voter shames just as much, if not more, than anyone else on the Left. He's constantly attacking people for their decisions to stay in the Democratic Party and berates people for voting Democrat. He literally screams about it in all directions.

@Leftist Liberal Supreme He just needs to stop with the impressions and comedy angle of his on-camera personality. I've actually seen him make really great points when he's serious like he is here and he should stay that way. Also his continuous focus on Marxist theory and pure-bred Socialism is something that is needed in progressive media circles to enhance the conversation being made about where the US economy should be headed and to keep shifting the Overton window to the left even if you massively disagree with a complete nationalization of the means of production.

Kinda hard to call someone a moderate when they just had an interview with Richard Wolff this week discussing Marxism. You do realize Brookes is further Left than Kyle right? That's not an opinion, that's a fact.

It's very "PC" in the US to constantly discuss Marxist theory apparently. Something I don't even see Kyle doing.

Did something else happen aside from their 1 hour conversation where Kyle blew Dore's "new party" idea away with empirical facts?

@Cy5208 War? Not much of a war since there are no 3rd party officials in Washington. You have 2 Independent Senators and that's it, but they caucus with the Democrats.

@Cy5208 I guess, but I'm just saying that it's a silly thing to fight over because one is clearly getting progressives elected to US Congress and state government, but the other is not. I wish it was, but it's Not. Also it seems like the "new party" idea leverages entirely on if Bernie Sanders is willing to join them. I always had a slight problem with that because Dore and Brana constantly seem to berate Bernie Sanders and get angry at him, playing old clips of him and basically attacking him for not coming on his show. Bernie has made himself clear that he thinks the most change he can effect is through the Dem party and he realized that after 40 years in politics and not getting any name recognition or attention on his platform until he ran on the Democratic ticket. It seems like Dore and Brana just want to Use Bernie for their end goals that Bernie does not agree with as the best way, but they fail to listen to Bernie's wisdom and experience on the matter. They do not believe in Bernie, yet put all their faith in him without listening to a word he says. Honestly, they don't deserve his support, because they clearly don't support him and seem to just get angry at him all the time even though they're the ones acting like children on the matter.
