I've been waiting for the trickle ever since Nancy Reagan told me all Black people are addicted to crack cocaine.

The term is ironic to begin with. Pulling yourself up with bootstraps is literally impossible, like touching your ear to your elbow. Not sure about the origins, but I wouldn't be surprised if the person who created the term was being sarcastic.

@prezhenz6969 I'm one of the lucky ones because I don't have loans or debt anymore, but I still feel totally screwed due to lack of savings & rent prices just skyrocketing out of control.

Are you talking about the fires this year occurring around Mt. Hood? I heard they were really bad.

@gregorylaperche5574 My good friend is 29 & him & his pregnant wife are living with their parents. Most people my age are either living at home or begging family for money so they don't have to move. Our generation got hit hardest by the Depression.

I wouldn't even want a loan or credit card in this economy. It's all just becoming more and more of a scam as time goes on. Even your avg banks & normal services rip you off constantly.

@Existential_Dread You've had 4 years to make America great & things are worse than they've literally ever been in anyone's lifetime (since the great depression). I'd hate to see what 4 more years of "greatness" looks like. A quarter of the country homeless perhaps? Medical Bankruptcies for All?

@NicoleKisa What city do you live in? NYC, SF? Cheapest rent you can find in Portland is $1200 a month, maybe more, & that's pretty far outside the inner city. Rent has been going up like crazy for years (my rent just went up another $100 just last month during this Pandemic). I remember back when I was in college a few years ago, you could practically get a penthouse suite for $1500-$2000 a month, now it's just worth that much just to get a 2 bedroom or even a 1 bedroom depending on if your within 20 mins of downtown.

@thra-x1855 Yeah, there are fires all over Oregon & especially California right now. It's just disaster on top of disaster

Both of the presidential candidates are dead-set on making sure the Millennial & Zoomer share of the economy drops to 0%. Jokes on them though, those old fuckers are gonna die one day.
