Bernie did more to change the conversation among Fox News viewers and move the Overton window to the Left than Elizabeth Warren could ever dream of. Way to become a stereotype virtual signaling liberal Liz.

In terms of not wanting to give smear merchants legitimacy, CNN has been just as much of a smear merchant towards progressives as Fox News. I would agree with anyone that we should not give them legitimacy until they start doing unbiased honest journalism.

@prgsc8083 CNN is shamelessly biased towards the establishment and big donors. When they have DNC plants asking questions at every one of their town halls, then yes that is a clear level of bias and using dishonest smear tactics to carry out their agenda in a backhanded way. They manufacture both fake outrage and they manufacture consent for Wall Street and the military industrial complex. They also filter all the news being reported on in their network and ensure it is friendly towards a mainstream establishment viewpoint, which is why they never reported on the genocide in Yemen, why they never reported on the battle to save Net Neutrality, any telecommunication bills taking away consumer rights, why they never give updates on the war in Iraq or Afghanistan or ANY of our 50 current wars. They are just as dangerous as Fox News because they pretend to be better, yet they carry out an agenda that logically leads to the same outcome for war profiteering and giving billion dollar corporations everything they ever wanted that Fox News also does, just in a more direct way.

I just gave you concrete reasons for why CNN manufactures consent in this country by refusing to cover important topics along with pushing a narrative that protects large predatory industries in America. Being "even-handed" between right and left means nothing, the real divide is between the people and the wealthy elites and take a quick guess on which side CNN and MSNBC are on. I'll give you a hint, the same side as Fox News.
