It's already IN the constitution that the presidents need to follow the constitution when declaring war. Presidents have been ignoring this for decades.

Isn't it already illegal for the president to wage war without Congress's approval? Seems to me the president has already ignored these laws for years because Congress has allowed them to get away with it.

@Galadriel333 My point was that it is already an impeachable offense to wage war without Congress's approval. It violates the Constitution. Nobody in Congress is willing to do anything about it or, at the bare minimum, even make the case that he should be impeached for illegally going to war without Congress's approval. Like I said its a deeply embedded problem with the system of politics where presidents are getting away with it because Congress lets them without any objections.

@Ssen0nesS Idk about that. I'm just saying presidents have been ignoring the constitution and law for decades. It's more of an embedded problem with politics than a simple bill to fix everything, which is also why the bill will never pass.
