Sam is in favor of no purity tests, Kyle is in favor of common sense purity tests like Medicare for All, and Jimmy Dore is in favor of impossible purity tests that no one can pass except for himself and maybe Green party members who never won office. Kyle is right the other 2 are wrong

Yeah I agree that's probably the only way to get money out of politics at this time. If Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed onto the Supreme Court you can pretty much say goodbye to any hopes of getting Citizens United overturned. A fully stacked pro-corporate and conservative Supreme Court will NEVER overturn Citizens United. However, I don't even think we need to wait for Bernie to organize for a constitutional amendment. This has been something that Cenk Uygar's Wolfpac has been pursuing for some time in calling for a constitutional convention and they make pretty solid points for why the topic of getting money out of politics would be near the only thing that would ever pass as a 3/4 majority between the states and state delegates. It's really the only thing that people agree on across the political spectrum and if it's done at the state level, it avoids the Washington swamp and corruption that is the real opponent to taking money out of politics.

I think his point was you need to convert them to the idea of Medicare for All by shaming them and threatening them with removal.

I'm not defending Joe Manchin at all and I personally would never vote for him if I was in his district, but you're just factually wrong if you're saying there is "no difference". He votes with Trump about 18% of the time, which is worse than any other Democrat in the Senate, but compared to a "moderate" Republican like Jeff Flake, they vote with Trump about 86% of the time. Claiming there is "no difference" and "a Republican is better because at we know what they're for" is just nonsense and statistically incorrect even if that's how you "feel". Joe Manchin voted against the Trump tax cuts, Trumpcare, and Net Neutrality and those were pretty giant votes in the Trump term as of yet.
