  1. +nole 89 - Truman? No Truman was a fucking monster and FDR never wanted him to be his successor. He wanted Henry Wallace to be his vice president to succeed him after his death and Henry Wallace would've made just as good of a president as FDR. He founded the Progressive Party and was huge on social democracy just as FDR was, but the Democratic Party essentially shoved Harry Truman down FDR's throat and forced it on him. I mean, Truman dropped 2 atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to just make a political statement to Russia that the US was strong and should not be fucked with after the war. That was the entire hidden point of the atomic bombs and the 300,000 innocents that died from his decision could've easily been avoided by Truman just waiting a week or two until the Japanese surrendered as they were about to do and Truman only had to have a summit with the Japanese to end the war, but instead he refused so he could show off the US's new terrible power in the form of hundreds of thousands of people dying for no fucking reason. No, I disagree Truman is possibly the worst of them all.

FDR should be the presidential model that every modern US president should strive to be like, but instead you see all the neocons and neoliberals using the fucking Ronald Reagan model even though Reagan was a gigantic turd of a president. And now you have the Trump model, which is inspiring upstanding candidates like Don Blankenship and Roy Moore.

  3. Perfection is not the issue, we just don't want total garbage running the country that don't give two fucks about the working class. FDR was about as perfect as you get. I hope Bernie is able to win in 2020.

  4. Obama and Bill Clinton were such right-leaning corporatists, you wonder why Republicans hated them so much. In a world without tribalism, the Republicans and right-wingers would love Obama and Bill Clinton and the left would rightfully and generically view them as the center-right neocons they are. The reason why every president has sucked since FDR (discounting Carter) has been because we haven't had a leftist president SINCE Franklin D. Roosevelt and Carter wasn't strong enough of a president to get his policies passed or fight adequately for them but was still not as leftist as FDR.
