Bernie also has a much better chance of winning than ANYONE else. So all these people can run, Yang, Ojeda, Warren, but none of them are serious contenders unless they're Bernie. Bernie is the only one who can beat Joe Biden and he's the only one who can beat Trump out of all Democratic nominees and I think he knows this himself, which is why he said he "would only run if he determined he was the only one who would be able to win over Trump".

We need a new Fairness Doctrine Kyle. That much is evident about our chaotic news cycle that allows blanket propaganda to exist. A Fairness Doctrine WOULD go after the mainstream press, not Independent media.

In one or two more years every cabbie, uber driver, truck driver, and driver of any kind will be out of work in addition to warehouse jobs being continually more automated. In fact, I think there are so many useless jobs in America that can be automated or removed altogether that we're going to be in a serious panic soon.

He's not against the 1st Amendment. I don't agree with the pinpoint focus on 'fake news', but the US does need a new Fairness Doctrine ever since Ronald Reagan repealed ours. Hopefully that is the logical conclusion of statements like that.

If Jesus Christ ran against Trump in the Republican primary, I bet Republicans would still vote for Trump over Jesus and the Christian fundamentalists would even go as far to say "he's the most Christian candidate in the race".

@RextheRebel No I meant in addition to truck driving there are numerous useless jobs out there. I'm mainly referring to corporate jobs in multi-billion dollar companies, where people have realizations where they don't actually DO anything and their jobs can be completely removed as unnecessary overhead. It's what many authors have referred to as "Bullshit Jobs". Nearly half of workers in the US feel that their jobs have no real contribution to the world and are meaningless. There are scenarios where this is actually a reality especially in large corporations where your job can either be automated or scrapped altogether as entirely unnecessary.

@Duke_Scanlan Maybe 5-10 years. It depends how profitable it is to replace salaried workers and/or if the risks are manageable with driverless cars. Tech moves faster than anything, and this is more of a tech innovation than any type of economic/worker adjustment.

Republicans always talk about how tax cuts for the wealthy will "stimulate the economy", but a UBI will ACTUALLY stimulate the economy because it gives consumers more money to buy products from corporations and small businesses, which, in turn, increase revenue and profits for companies and the economy altoghether. Just like the idea of doing Medicare for All and a Green New Deal that will create thousands of jobs, we can't afford NOT to do it.

I somewhat disagree with you on the news issue Kyle. Reagan was the one who repealed the Fairness Doctrine and it has caused our mainstream press to become polarized, chaotic, and essentially allowed the cycle of propaganda to exist. If you look at places like Canada who still have their own Fairness Doctrine, their news is more balanced and their people are more informed about what's going on. In America, it's just pure chaos, so I think saying "I believe in the First Amendment, but we need a new Fairness Doctrine to give the American people more insight on controversial issues", that's a totally fair statement. I know Andrew Yang's take was more focused on "Fake News", but a new Fairness Doctrine, I think, is something America sorely needs and the fact that Ronald Reagan was the one to repeal it should say boatloads about it's validity.
