To my surprise, I looked it up and Pelosi actually did vote against the Iraq Authorization act, while many other Dems in her state voted for it like Adam Schiff. It honestly would've been much much worse if she said "I personally saw the intelligence and knew the WMDs weren't there" and then went ahead and voted for it anyways (which I thought was the most likely scenario given it's Pelosi). Low bar though I guess since she was one of the few people who actually saw the foreign intelligence.

That was a terrible answer, but I just looked it up and at least Pelosi actually voted against the Iraq Authorization bill (to my complete surprise). Other Dems in her state actually voted FOR it like Adam Schiff.

Classical Scholar Yeah, that's the Republicans fault though. Every single one of them voted for the Iraq War except Lincoln Chafee (who was a Republican at the time). Republicans supported Bush just as they all line up behind Trump now. Even if the Dems grew a spine in the early 2000s, impeachment would've never passed. Even if it did, Kyle is right that we would've just been left with a much worse option with Cheney.

Classical Scholar Sounds like if she wasn't on the foreign intelligence committee she would've done the wrong thing. It's a good question of who actually was authorized to see the intelligence (I'm sure a lot of Republicans saw it and voted for it anyways). I'd be INCREDIBLY curious to know if Hillary and Biden saw the intelligence, that would just make their yay votes Far Far more damning.
