Well-known organized crime has basically been nonexistent in the US since the 21st century, but that might be because the criminals are now able to operate within the boundaries of the law thanks to the massive loosening of all regulations and the turn towards huge levels of corruption in the system.

I know a big deal is always made by the Left about how shitty the two party system is and the lesser of two evils (which is true), but learning about Japan's LDP just makes you realize things could always get worse. The Republicans could be a one-party government that is never successfully challenged and always unethically stomps on any other party looking to make a run for more control of Congress - essentially what happens now but instead of both parties stomping on 3rd parties, it would be Republicans limiting the democratic functions of government to let any party challenge it even Democrats.

  4. Crazy how the one party conservative government is the governing party that is overlooking such stringent gun control. If it was the US with the one party conservatives, every person in the US would be required to own at least 3 guns per person. Just shows you how insane the United States is compared to the rest of the world.
