You're claiming all those investigations are theater, and then go on to claim that they need to focus on "policy". The thing is though Kyle, a vote on Medicare for All and other policies would just be theater too though. There is a ZERO % chance of any policy being approved in the Senate and especially signed by Trump. You can make the claim that that is better theater than the investigations, but at the same time there does need to be checks and balances put back into the system because right now it feels as though we're all one step away from Trump giving himself executive powers and on the edge of a constitutional crisis with him obstructing Mueller's investigation with his new AG whose gonna shut down the parts of the investigation that go into Trump's criminal dealings.

They should do an investigation on all those countries' interference in our elections. That includes Russia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Ukraine, and China. There's a shit load of evidence already that they've all got corrupt dealings with the current administration. It's just a bag grab of corruption in that administration. And though I think Kyle's "policy proposals" are important, all the stuff he listed has a ZERO % chance of being signed by Trump or passed by a Republican owned Senate, so the least they can do is restore checks and balances and weaken his administration by exposing the corruption.

Yeah that was my original thought. The only good argument I've seen about focusing on the policy instead is that it basically makes it seem like the Republicans in the Senate and Trump are the party of obstruction and inaction by making them veto anything the House passes. However, nothing will get done anyways, so it might be more beneficial to restore checks and balances to the system and investigate the major crimes Trump has done in office and on his campaign. Right now it's like nothing effects him because the GOP has had a supermajority in Washington. That now ends so there's a good chance many of these investigations could actually put pressure on Republicans from here on out.

That's great and all to bring justice for crimes over 10-17 years ago, but maybe we should focus our priorities on stopping things like tens of thousands of civilian casualties and a literal genocide in Yemen.

"All that stuff on the list is theater, so instead lets do this other theater on policy that Trump will never let pass."
