It's the growing number of right-wing viewers that is the real issue. It's why Jimmy's show and his followers sort of have a group-think going on where they're just reactionaries to any little piece of corruption that comes from the Democratic establishment or the Clintons. It's likely the reason why Jimmy doesn't ever comment on Trump and dare to make a negative video about the right-wing establishment, only the minority party that has been desperately trying to just gain back a sliver of power since 2016.

He doesn't shit on him all the time for not coming on his show and play old clips of him to make it seem like he 'sold out' compared to Bernie in the 1990s? Yes, he praises Bernie from time to time, but he shits on him just as much for various reasons. Just go on Jimmy's twitter page and you can see him saying shit like "Bernie magically doesn't use the word 'Revolution' anymore" even though Bernie used it only days before Jimmy said that when Bernie raised Amazon's minimum wage for workers (a story Jimmy never even covered despite it being a giant achievement).

Mint Gell How so? I watch Kyle more than Cenk, but Cenk has far more experience and knowledge than everyone who works under his company even if you disagree with him on some issues. Every time I watch Kyle on Cenk's show, Kyle usually adopts some of his stats and talking points that Cenk regularly uses. I mean, compared to Jimmy Dore though, Kyle and Cenk are light-years ahead of the 'jerkoff comedian' who seems to only know how to speak in rehearsed talking points.

Kyle, Jimmy's not gonna support Barbara Lee no matter how important it is. She's a Democrat so he automatically can't support her without his base calling him names and saying "you're just as bad as TYT now". Dore's stuck in a Youtube group-think where he loses money if he doesn't give his fans exactly what they want.

@GGSOG Yeah it was a 52 minute video, it took awhile to get through. I think my stance on Jimmy Dore is pretty common for right now. I used to enjoy watching his show a long while back, but has seen it slowly devolve into an alt-right breeding ground due to Jimmy's constant false equivalencies, his total inability to criticize the right-wing establishment, and Whataboutism over the Democratic Party and anyone in it including Justice Democrats and the progressives engaged in a Civil War. I have seen many people make this realization over time that he is not helpful and only makes things harder for people like Kyle and others actually trying to accomplish something. And in case you're going to berate me with some kind of counter-argument, no I am not a fan of or watch Sam Seder or David Pakman, I almost entirely align with Kyle in his views except for a few exceptions and I think the only reason he hasn't joined other commentators in their criticisms over Jimmy is because he's good friends with him, but you could tell he by just watching this video he had some major issues he held back on and was nice about especially when you heard him talk about Nick Brana.

Can we just stop for a second and talk about the cult of personality surrounding Jimmy Dore. Literally every person I've seen with criticisms against Jimmy have good explanations and reasons for those criticisms minus a few ad hominems from Sam Seder. An extensive list can be given with why people have these criticisms, yet the Jimmy Dore super fans are pretending as though anyone with this viewpoint "is not progressive, are not even leftists" and I've seen one person say "Jimmy IS progressivism". This is not healthy guys, and people have real criticisms with Dore Because of his Bernie bashing and attacks against progressives, I don't understand how you can claim that these criticisms are just irrational and completely unwarranted, and I've even seen many people just feign ignorance and say stuff like "He's never criticized Justice Democrats or progressives". It's as though people completely drop all logic when it comes to their defenses of Jimmy Dore and desperate attempts at counter-attacks.

Mint Gell Except for the fact that he's NOT siding with Jimmy. He spent 50 minutes proving Jimmy's world-view wrong and why the progressive takeover is working. If anything, Kyle is on the same side as Pakman, Seder, Dixon, Let the Madness Begin, and Progressive Voice. He's arguing for why we're in the middle of a Democratic Civil war and progressives are slowly but surely winning over time.

@sculptureofsound2 Jimmy conceded on a lot of shit, but by the very end he literally just started repeating the same bullshit points he said at the beginning of how "Only 2 corporate Democrats were knocked off" and Kyle had to then repeat himself again to refute the point that Jimmy apparently learned nothing from the first time. Also, I think we all know, no matter what, he'll be on his show tomorrow complaining about how the progressive Democrats aren't doing anything and the takeover is a waste. The guy basically smeared Ocasio-Cortez over a completely innocuous thing she said on CNN and now Cortez is leading the charge in getting rid of Pelosi as the House leader. Jimmy "admits he doesn't know what to do" because he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about in the first place. His analysis of politics is completely surface-level and doesn't even go into the details of the midterm elections as Kyle here. His take-away is that "progressives only knocked off one corporate Democrat, thus the progressive takeover is a failure end of story".

Does anyone else think it's weird that the Jimmy Dore viewers think Kyle is "Cenk's son", a "mini-me Cenk", or "a Sam Cedar clone". It's like these guys think Jimmy is the only "real progressive" and everyone else is an establishment shill. Disagree with you on TJ Kirk. Kirk has recently made some really good content going after right-wing frauds like Ben Shapiro and Dave Rubin and as far as I can tell he supports progressive policy. He makes a lot of stupid decisions sometimes, but is mostly okay.

@GhostlyJorg Except Kyle repeatedly brought up the fact that the current influx of Justice Democrats and Our Revolution politicians and their message is resulting in protests in Nancy Pelosi's office, and at this point, it looks like she doesn't even have the votes to remain speaker of the House. The Democratic takeover is already happening. If you don't think that right there is a positive result of progressive efforts within the party, then I don't know what to tell you. That wouldn't be happening without the leadership of Justice Democrats and the people elected just this midterm alone who are making a difference and Congress isn't even close to being back in session yet.

@GhostlyJorg Uh yah that's why it's so important to get rid of Nancy Pelosi as the House leader. She's the one making those decisions and Justice Dems are leading the charge to strip her of power. Jimmy always talks about how "we don't have time to reform the party", but if you're looking at the specifics of how long it would realistically take to create a new party, get it ballot access in all 50 states, have a fair election without election fraud by both Republicans and Democrats who either/or control the election boards, and many other aspects that the Green Party has been working on 20 years and still don't have (they only have ballot access in 48 states and get shafted all the time by the two party system), then I don't see how that option is a 'Faster' option than what is currently happening right now and the realistic push to remove Pelosi as majority speaker of the House. You remove Pelosi, then you remove Chuck Schumer and Tom Perez from power and nearly all the things you just mentioned would be far less likely to occur. This is not difficult to understand buddy.

@GhostlyJorg If you agree with Kyle, then I don't really see how you disagree on the other part because it sort of goes hand-in-hand with everything that Kyle is saying in this video. Unless you're trying to claim that we 'EVENTUALLY' have to go to a new party, which is something i half agree with depending on how things turn out in the next 2-6 years. There's a good chance that the progressive message just takes over the Democratic Party completely to the point where the corporate Democrats basically get put into place like how Trump has completely dominated the corporate Republicans (even though he doesn't have a real populist agenda, which makes it easier with little backlash cause they're not worried about losing money). I'm entirely convinced though that this cannot realistically happen without a Bernie Sanders presidency and an onward push from groups like Justice Democrats, DSA, PCCC, and Our Revolution. They need to get to a point where they're powerful enough where a legitimate switch to a new party is effective. This would likely be after a Bernie Sanders presidency and then if he ran a second term could run as an Independent or under a 3rd party. Being the current president would basically guarantee him access to debates and media attention even if he ran outside of the Party. However, none of this can realistically happen in the short term. If you think it can, then you're basically putting a Bernie Sanders presidency in jeopardy just for a Hal Mary when the last 3rd Party candidate for president got around 1% of the vote. You need to plan strategically for the future and Kyle even says in this clip he did extensive research and mulled over the strategy when he formed Justice Democrats and you can tell he's thought about this more than anyone even his other co-founder Cenk. Trying to go that route too early would be a mistake and if the progressive takeover is more successful in 2020 and onward, especially after a Sanders presidency, a switch to a new party may not even be necessary if you dig out the corruption, which we are currently seeing the beginning of. The urgency for a 'new party' by Jimmy Dore, before we even get Bernie elected as president, does not seem rational to me and pretty much everyone else outside the Jimmy Dore Show circle.

Stop whining that I'm not "reading your comments" when you're just not articulating your points correctly. In regards to what you just said, the Dems being "salvageable" is far more feasible and likely than all the stuff you just laid out on your wishlist. In addition, you made your "plan" be dependent on Justice Democrats, something you're literally trying to argue against while simultaneously claiming they need to "make the switch" so the new party can work. This plan was not remotely feasible a year ago and it's still completely ridiculous now after the midterms even when you're throwing Justice Democrats into the mix. The logical and smartest way to move forward is to continue to grow Justice Democrats and all other progressive groups on the federal level. You know, the thing that's been actually working while the Greens, you mentioned, don't have a single representative in US Congress after 20 years of "hardships" and only have 2 people on the state level in total out of all 50 states. As I said in my last post, I'm not opposed to a "new party" idea when the time is right, but you guys are really trying to jump on this too early. You were trying to do it before the midterms and you're trying to do it now, it's just not the right time and it won't remotely work given the political climate, which is why no one besides Nick Brana listens to Jimmy's ideas and takes them seriously and people tell him, at the very least, use the Green Party if he's deadset on going the 3rd party route. If you actually watched the video, Kyle gives countless reasons why the "new party" idea won't work right now (it's not a matter of if we SHOULD do it, it's if it will work), but you clearly did not care to listen one bit.

He never covered or even said one peep about Bernie's victory over Amazon however, which honestly, seems like a pretty fucking important story to cover if Jimmy's been going after Bezos for a long time.
