Yeah exactly. If people don't like these sites anymore, they can migrate to a new platform. Nobody is stopping anyone from evacuating Twitter especially when they do stupid shit like this while only putting Alex Jones in a "timeout" for 6 days. These companies are not the law or government. People can still exercise free speech anywhere else on the Internet or world. Twitter is cancer to begin with.

Twitter is the only platform going overboard like this and they're the only platform that didn't even ban Alex Jones to begin with so it makes you wonder whether they even understood the issue to begin with. It sounds like Twitter is just garbage, nothing new there.

I'm sorry to say, this does not prove Kyle's initial argument about a "slipper slope". Twitter is the only one that didn't ban Alex Jones and now Twitter is the only one going overboard with their bannings. Does Kyle talk about why that might be? No, instead he just starts listing off low-level Twitter users as if the same thing is going on everywhere.

I'm pretty sure they were strictly making a case that they didn't give a shit that Alex Jones was banned because he incites violence and has even made videos saying Socialists "should be eradicated". They have defended people who were banned as "fake news" or misinformation issues.

It was almost the entirety of the right that silenced Colin Kaepernick. Keep living in fantasy land. You can't just now start acting like the free speech absolutist when no one on the right has ever stood up for the rights of NFL players or anyone that's wanted to protest peacefully. Exactly. Twitter putting Alex Jones in a 6 day "timeout" for making one of several videos telling people to grab their battle rifles and go find the media is not even in the same ballpark as TJ Kirk making a sarcastic tweet/joke. Twitter seems to be the main problem now.

Alex Jones has countless videos of him telling people to grab their guns and go after people or saying "Somebody should really take them out" or making up countless conspiracies of a person he doesn't like having a "pedo ring" or how about when his InfoWars B team said all Socialists should be "eradicated" like ticks. Last time I checked, outlets like Secular Talk and TYT don't incite violence and I've regularly heard both of those outlets say that people should not be doing violence at protests or doing property damage and that the most effective way is to protest peacefully.

The idea of making these companies "public utilities" is entirely unrealistic and I don't agree with it in the first place either. We're not even talking about doing that for the telecommunication companies so why would we do it for these companies that are free to use. Kulinski needs to stop bring it up, because it's a retarded idea that will never happen anyways. If they really wanted to push this idea, the very least they could do is create a government run social media site and let it compete with the others, but everyone knows the government sucks at developing useful software at all, so it will almost certainly never happen. Just look at how they did with healthcare.gov

Twitter is the one banning these people and Twitter is the only platform that didn't ban Alex Jones. Not to mention nobody supported anyone getting banned except for Alex Jones because it was solely an issue of inciting violence and in some rare cases domestic terrorism something not protected by free speech in the slightest.

There was just a video where he's telling people to grab their assault rifles and go after people, same shit he said when a guy shot up Comet Pizza. That guy went to jail, but Jones is still on air doing inciting the same violence. Keep pretending that people were fine with Jones's fate because they "don't support free speech". What a silly argument, and it seems like nobody besides Kyle is listing off recent Twitter bannings as if it's actually news. Twitter is also the only platform that DIDN'T ban Jones either, so this story is dodgy to say the least.

+Save The People - If that's the case, then the government should break up these monopolies, not convert these companies into public utilities. That's only temporarily fixing the problem anyways because there's going to come another large tech company that takes over Twitter's audience or people start using in addition. Breaking up the monopolies in all US industries would fix a ton of problems with our current economy. I don't understand why Kyle is pushing this idea of "convert them to public utilities", it is just as crazy as the message he was criticizing by the DSA like "ABOLISH PROFITS" and "Abolish Prisons". Things he claimed would never get traction and is just hurting your cause.

+Googl Selzmiyinfo - I'd argue that Kyle is blowing these "bannings" out of proportion. It seems like this is an issue with Twitter because they're still dragging their feet on Alex Jones for whatever reason. This is not happening with any social media platform that actually outright banned Jones, so it makes you question what the fuck Jack from Twitter is doing here. Rational National had the right opinion on all of it and you don't see him spending 90% of his time listing off recent Twitter bannings.

+Googl Selzmiyinfo - Jones WAS prosecuted legally in a court of law several times. Why do you think he had to publicly apologize for the Pizzagate shooting and take down all his content on it? The courts can't make Youtube ban him, it was up to the private company the whole time and then they eventually decided to take action against him for clear reasons of inciting violence. Also, you haven't even addressed the point that Twitter was the only platform that didn't ban Jones and now they're the only ones going overboard with their bannings kinda insinuating the core of the problem is not because Jones was banned but because they're compensating for not banning him. Youtube, Facebook, Spotify, Itunes, etc. have not had the same reaction so it makes it seem like this is an incident focused on Twitter's own shortcomings and potentially never even understood the real problem to begin with since they DIDN'T ban Jones for inciting violence (which is the real reason to ban him) and then just started banning people for random reasons. Maybe I'm biased, because I think Twitter is nonsense to begin with but I don't see other platforms doing this and Kyle doesn't even point that out.

+Alba Negron - Those platforms only banned Alex Jones and it was for very obvious reasons. It's Twitter that is going above and beyond with this bullshit likely because they're dragging their feet on the Alex Jones stuff. They put him in a "timeout" for 6 days over a video where he's literally telling people to grab their assault rifles and go after people. Apparently Jack from Twitter thinks a timeout will change Jones's attitude.
