@hithere5553 He lost the primary. I honestly doubt there could've been much else done to change the trajectory of things in a Biden admin compared to where it is now. This idea of "we had leverage we could've used" is a giant myth as far as I can see. I didn't trust Hillary in 2016 to honor her "promises" to Bernie & I wouldn't have trusted Biden to honor "guarantees" to Bernie if he would've leveraged his endorsement more. & who is to say that Joe Biden's team didn't "promise" Bernie the labor secretary position, the thing that Kyle is bashing Bernie over not getting "assurances" over, as if there really is anything as real assurances in a Biden administration. The truth is that there was no happy ending if the Left lost the primary & Joe Biden won.

That smug smile he gives after vomiting bullshit to his audience is honestly too much.

@undeadblizzard Yeah 'dick riding' doesn't really work in that context. I agree the Left needs to stop bitching and moaning though over things that Bernie & other progressive politicians have no ability to stop whatsoever. At this point, they're also beating a dead horse considering the primary's been over for nearly a year now. It was getting old back in Summer, but now it's obnoxious & frankly dumb.

Matt Terialist Lol Agreed, however, it's time to get over it (for those people). Whining more about something that happened back in February is not productive even in the slightest, nor is it healthy.

@madashell7224 I agree. & the moment the Labor Secretary thing was brought up, this was my first thought about promises to Bernie for his endorsement. You don't just suddenly believe you're in the running for Labor Secretary for the cabinet of your former political rival. I really hope Bernie doesn't get it though, because he needs to be the one to get angry & fed up with this administration, as someone who supported Biden in the election, but now is speaking out against his actions. Bernie can't do that if he's a member of that administration & isn't allowed to speak his mind without getting that position taken away & likely given to Tim Kaine, John Kerry or someone who values austerity & neoliberalism.

Medicare for All literally has 72% popularity in Fox News polls & Joe Scarborough is sitting there with a smug smirk on his face acting like that's not the "rational" or at the very least popular position. What an absolute hack.
